I’m glad he doesn’t do what my cockatiel Spike used to do to me when I told him off. My cockatiel didn’t fly he would walk everywhere. It’s not like he couldn’t fly, because he could.
He was just a lazy little boy lol.😂🤣
If I told him off he would come over to me and nuzzle into my neck, then he would try to trick me by making me believe he was a good boy.
He would crawl all the way up my arm to the top of my head. I would be saying “you are such a good boy.” Then he would nuzzle into my hair all sweet and innocent.
Then I would feel him peeing on my head. Next thing I knew he would casually walk back down my arm and then go into his cage and sulk. I swear my boy had an attitude lol.
It’s not like he only did that once, he did it a few times. My Spike didn’t like to be told off, or being told no lol. I miss him so much he was a funny little boy, he had he best personality.😍💙

My late and dear Donald (a blue parakeet) would do this many 'a night when we'd finally put him in his cage and cover it (for the evening), but we'd stay awake a little longer....Oh, no! He wasn't having it....He'd climb onto the side of the cage right exactly where the little opening of the cover was and squack his little heart out (much to our dismay) until we could take it no longer, and would finally take the cover off....Then he'd smugly quiet down....That little adorable stinker ! *:)*....Thank you for posting - brings back such precious memories....

We used to have 2 green parakeets, Apple and Cinnamon. The morning after we brought them home they got out of the cage, and spent the rest of their lives flying around the house for a couple of hours every day. Our biggest complaints about this was the bird poop everywhere (sometimes in our hair unexpectedly) and the holes in the drywall. So yes, this conversation is familiar to me.
