Hailing from Finland, Bitch Alert are all about loud, fuzzy, angry rock music yet full of pop hooks. Combining elements of punk, grunge and raw garage they have pretty much the sound of the moment in their hands. The singer Heinie has unique voice which easily goes from silky tenderness to wild, scary, craspy scream. This combined to clock sharp beating of the rhythm section (drummer Maritta and bassist Kimmo) makes Bitch Alert live experience worth waiting for. Their combination of melodic interplay, aggression and dynamic pacing creates a potent and heartfelt whole.
The Finnish band Bitch Alert was originally founded in 1997 by Heinie, Maritta and Maria. When Maria left the band she was replaced by new member Kimmo. In 2000, they changed their band name to Bitch Alert and signed a recording contract with Poko Records. Their first single 'Monday' was released in January 2001. It was followed by the debut album 'Pay for orgasm'. In 2002, they followed this up with their second album '..rriot!', which featured the single 'Sandy. Their cover of Kids in America appeared as a non-album B-side on this single.
A few more albums and single followed, until the band broke up in 2008. :'(

Bitch Alert Lyrics

I could fill myself with the scars/star
I could kill myself because it's monday
But I won't cuz your friends are smiling
No - bloody fucking monday!
The lyrics to Bitch Alert's song, "Monday," suggest a strong sense of frustration and hopelessness that the singer feels, particularly on Mondays. The opening lines depict an intense desire to escape, to perhaps end one's life or harm oneself as a way to cope with one's pain. The imagery of the garage and the scars reinforces the idea that the singer is struggling and feeling overwhelmed.
However, the final line of the verse -- "But I won't cuz your friends are smiling" -- suggests that the singer is motivated to continue living because of the presence of others. This idea contrasts with the darker imagery of the previous lines and emphasizes the importance of human connection.
The chorus, with its anguished repetition of "No - bloody fucking Monday!" reinforces the idea that Mondays are particularly difficult for the singer, and perhaps symbolize a larger feeling of being trapped or stuck in a difficult situation.
Overall, the lyrics to "Monday" suggest a complex emotional state, in which feelings of despair and hopelessness are tempered by the possibility of connection and community.

These were brilliant I was so disappointed they never took off. Saw them live in York UK and had a chat with the afterwards as there was only 2 of us who stuck around after the support band! (I was so mad at the York locals for that).
