Born to an African American/Indian father and an Italian/Jewish mother, Bizzy Bone started in hip-hop as a founding member of the group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Formed in 1993, this Cleveland-based crew first caught the ear of N.W.A. member Eazy-E.
Their trademark double and triple-time sung/rapped harmonies brought something new to the table at a time when most acts were busy trying to imitate what was featured on Dr. Dre's The Chronic. The unique sound prompted multi-platinum record sales, won them a Grammy, and brought the spotlight to the long-neglected Midwestern hip-hop community.
As a solo performer, Bizzy Bone is well known for his high-speed rhyme style and unique singing abilities. Continually writing and recording around the clock, he released his first solo album in 1998, the personal and introspective Heaven'z Movie. After receiving critical acclaim, Bizzy went on to write and release The Gift in 2001, Alpha and Omega in 2004, and The Beginning and the End, also in 2004, For The Fans vol. 1 and vol. 2 in 2005, The Story, Thugs Revenge, The Midwest Cowboy, and From Your Righteousness in 2006. His latest album Ruthless was released on March 4th 2008.
Bizzy's work has been awarded by numerous respected groups, including an ASCAP Award, the Michael Jackson Soul Train Award, a Blockbuster Award, an American Music Award, and the NAACP - Back To School/Stay in School Youth Rally Award. He has become a member of Hip Hop's elite, collaborating with modern hip-hop legends such as P Diddy, Snoop Dogg, as well as the late Eazy-E, 2Pac, and The Notorious B.I.G..

[Verse 3]
Whatever, whatever, we got to get cheddar, I'm better with money

And yo one of my buddies not dippin the swisher and none (?)
Nobody's the best and you better believe it
And leave it alone, 'lone
I'm a tell y'all all my secrets, son of a mistress, carry on
Out of the foster home been raised all of my freaky ways
Burn my collection of porn but I don't want no strays
What about church folk stressin that I should change
If you life I'm a live my life
Without the lies and let me pray for change
And I keep the pimp cup, I don't want to blow the pimps up
Cause my fathers father was pimpin
And he left all of his children checkin
I don't have to respect it, and you don't have to respect it
Give me my space, and I'm a give you yours
It's my profession nigga, it ain't a game

The song "We Play" by Bizzy Bone is a track that includes various rap verses over a catchy beat. The intro announces the arrival of the Seventh Sign mastermind while simultaneously taking a dig at haters who had wished for his death. The song's refrain, "That's how we play," mirrors the overall theme of Bizzy and his crew's lifestyle of smoking, drinking, and hustling.
In the first verse, Bizzy raps about the need to use a rubber as women can "grab you and get you caught up and shot," while also addressing rumors about him reading magazines for source material. He then delves into his life as a father, where finding a balance between spending time with his children and making money is a challenge. In the second verse, Bizzy touches on topics such as gun violence, porn, and pimping, emphasizing his desire to live his life on his own terms and asserting his dominance in the rap game. The song's chorus echoes throughout the song, emphasizing the nonchalant attitude of Bizzy and his crew to life and the hustle.
The song's lyrics use slang and contain references to the street culture typical of the late 90s and early 2000s hip hop scene. Bizzy Bone's flow is fast and aggressive, maintaining the song's high-energy from start to finish. While not one of the rapper's most popular tracks, "We Play" remains a notable entry in Bizzy Bone's discography.
