Björk
Bjork/Beck Lyrics

How could I be so immature?
To think he could replace,
The missing elements in me,
How extremely lazy of me

How could I be so immature?
To think he could replace,
The missing elements in me,
How extremely lazy of me.

How could I be so immature?
How could I be so immature?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Bjork/Beck's song, "Bjork" express a sense of self-reflection and self-awareness as Bjork questions her own emotional immaturity. She expresses regret for expecting another person to be able to fill the gaps in her own personality and identity, calling herself "extremely lazy." The repetition of the phrase "How could I be so immature?" emphasizes her frustration with herself for putting such a burden on someone else and not taking responsibility for her own growth.

Overall, the lyrics can be interpreted as a call to personal accountability and self-improvement. It is ultimately up to the individual to identify and work on their own shortcomings, rather than expecting others to do the work for them. The vulnerability and honesty in Bjork's lyrics make for a powerful message that resonates with listeners and encourages them to take a deep look at themselves and their own personal growth.

a real collaboration between these two geniuses would be awesome!

Sick combo, I'd like Bjork's volume a bit up, she's a bit quiet in some parts. Two of my favourite singers together though!

This is from 2009?? How come you don't have any newer stuff? All of your videos are epic... =O I also like your taste in music, Radiohead, Bjork, Beck, Clifford Brown = like exactly the same as mine except if you ever read this you should check out Jaga Jazzist because they're incredible. They're from Norway and they're like a combination of Jazz, Rock, and orgasm =P

@abebopmana No problem! I'd love to hear it if you do, I'll subscribe right now haha. And yeah, Jaga Jazzist is way too unknown, I try to tell as many people that may like them as I can about them. Also, I'm a trumpet player as well, and I'm really interested in composition. Do you have any advice for what kind of things to look into to really advance in composition/arrangement? I have written some music before but I've never really gotten around to completing any.

@Sporkflips Thanks! I might try to throw together another Bjork mashup if I have some free time. Great recommendation - I think I found my next favorite group. Keep in touch!
