He was able to continue recording music, releasing 14 albums over the course of his life. His latest, ‘Blind Faith’, was released in 2015.

I was too young to see what's what when I was there
Now I am left here for good
Now there is no returning back
There's no returning back
There's no returning back anymore
I live here in a little room
You can be all the things you want to be
As long as you stay in this room
I live here in a little room
All my cares revolve around the past
You can be all the things you want to be
As long as you stay in this room
How could I do me like that
I was too young to see what's what when I was there
Now I am left here for good
Now there is no returning back
There's no returning back
There's no returning back anymore
The lyrics of the song Shadowland by Black convey a sense of regret and loneliness. The singer reflects on their past, wondering how they could have made the choices they did when they were younger. They recognize that they were unable to fully comprehend the world and their place in it, and as a result, they are now stuck in a small room with their regrets as their only company. The repeated refrain of "There's no returning back anymore" emphasizes the finality of this situation - there is no way for the singer to go back and change their past, and they must now face the consequences of their actions alone.
The line "You can be all the things you want to be / As long as you stay in this room" further underscores the sense of confinement and limited potential that the singer feels. They believe that their past mistakes have closed off all other possibilities for their life, and that they are now resigned to living a small, confined existence. This theme of being trapped is further amplified by the song's instrumentation, which includes a pulsing, repetitive beat that creates a sensation of being stuck in one place.
