In The End
Black Veil Brides Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the end, as we fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life?
In the end, as my soul's laid to rest
What is left of my body?
Or am I just a shell?
And I have fought
And with flesh and blood, I commanded an army
Through it all
I have given my heart for a moment of glory (I gave it all)

In the end, as you fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Born a saint
Though, with every sin, I still wanna be holy
I will live, again
Who we are isn't how we live
We are more than our bodies
If I fall, I will rise back up and relive my glory

In the end, as we fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

In the end, as you fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end, and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Who will remember this last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end, and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Overall Meaning

In Black Veil Brides' song "In The End," the band is exploring the idea of mortality and what happens to us after we die. The song begins with the question, "Who will tell the story of your life?" which sets the tone for the rest of the lyrics. The singer wonders what will happen to their physical body once their soul has passed on, and whether they will be remembered or forgotten.

The chorus of the song is about the singer's fearlessness in the face of death. They declare that they are "not afraid to die," and this sentiment is repeated throughout the song. The singer believes that death is not something to be feared, but rather embraced as a natural part of life.

The second verse alludes to the idea of redemption and second chances. The singer acknowledges that they have made mistakes and committed sins, but they still aspire to be holy. They have hope that they will rise above their past mistakes and live gloriously once more.

Overall, "In The End" is a meditation on the afterlife and what happens to us once we pass on. The lyrics are both introspective and fearless, examining the mysteries of life and death.

@deniolldashi799

Most of people are like :
"Omg Andy is so ducking cute"
And I am like :
" What about Jinxx, Ashley, Jake and CC ?"
I mean it is a group not just Andy.
They all put effort to make music for their fans.
Andy is just a part of them.
He is the lead singer but what about the other guys?
Aren't they good enough?
Do you really think that Andy is the cutest?
They're all cute and amazing.
Last year I met Jinxx and I must say he is an amazing person and really smart.
We talked about self-harming and I must admit that even a psychologist wouldn't have found the right words about cutting.
So don't take for granted anything .
They are all beautiful inside and outside .
All of them.
