Blasphemous Onslaught
Black Witchery Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Impure Chants of Demonic Sorcery Invoke Victory of Death
The Suffering of Thou holy angels while the Blackest Hatred burns in
Our Hearts Apocalypse of Malevolence
Unto the Throne of God... Blasphemy, Death, Desecration!
Annihilate the False Trinity
Merciless Attack of Evil Might Supreme
Crushing the Lambs of God The Suffering of Thou Holy Angels,
Imperial Black desecration Horde shall Rise and Burn the mark of Death
In the Eyes of the Fallen God...
The lyrics of "Blasphemous Onslaught" by Black Witchery are about the glorification of evil and the mocking of the Christian God. The first lines, "Scourging Laws of unholiness burning in the Face of God," describe the defiance of traditional religious values by glorifying the laws of evil that burn directly in front of God's face. The lyrics continue to depict the use of demonic chants to evoke death, a powerful and awe-inspiring victory of death that is celebrated with the "Blackest Hatred" burning inside of the hearts of those who worship it.
The next lines refer to the suffering of the holy angels, an image that is often used in Satanic and black metal music to symbolize the defeat of traditional values and the rise of evil. The lyrics then call for the destruction of the false trinity, a reference to the three aspects of the Christian God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Finally, the lyrics call for the annihilation of the "lambs of God" – the innocent and pure followers of Christianity – and the storming of angels with hatred.
Overall, "Blasphemous Onslaught" is a powerful and provocative ode to Satanic and anti-Christian values, glorifying the concept of evil and the destruction of traditional religious values.
