Wrong Turn
Blackout City Kids Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Take a bruised hip take a skinned knee
take a million hits before I ever concede
scream is that all you got as I bleed
I always come back, I never disappear
even if I take my final breaths here
I need you now
don't fade away on me
cause I made a mistake,
I think I took a wrong turn
somewhere along the way,
I sealed my fate
and all I know is you're gone,
yeah you're gone away
I'll never touch your face
I'll never see you again
And I watch each day through the falling snow,
the dead men walking through their highs and lows
wishing they could start again somewhere new
and I stare at the cold and I feel their pain,
i watch as their life slowly fades away.
I see their eyes, they're piercing mine,
there's nothing I can say
Cause I made a mistake,
I think I took a wrong turn
somewhere along the way,
I sealed my fate and all I know is you're gone,
yeah you're gone away I'll never touch your face
I'll never see you again
Cause I made a mistake,
I think I took a wrong turn
somewhere along the way,
I sealed my fate and all I know is you're gone,

yeah you're gone away I'll never touch your face
I'll never see you again

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Wrong Turn" by Blackout City Kids convey a sense of regret and sorrow as the singer reflects on taking a wrong path in life and losing someone they loved because of it. The opening lines of "take a bruised hip take a skinned knee / take a million hits before I ever concede" suggest that the singer has been through a lot of pain and hardship but is determined to keep going, fighting until the bitter end. The following lines "scream is that all you got as I bleed / I always come back, I never disappear" express the same sentiment - that the singer is strong-willed and resilient despite the obstacles they face.

As the song progresses, the singer's regret becomes more apparent. The lines "even if I take my final breaths here / I need you now / don't fade away on me" reveal that they are at a point in their life where they feel they may die soon, and they want to make amends with the person they love before it's too late. However, that person is nowhere to be found, and the singer realizes "all I know is you're gone / yeah, you're gone away / I'll never touch your face / I'll never see you again."

The chorus of the song repeats the idea that the singer made a mistake and took a wrong turn somewhere in their life, leading to the loss of their loved one. The lines "somewhere along the way, I sealed my fate" indicate that the singer feels responsible for what happened, and that if they had made different choices, things might have turned out differently.

Overall, "Wrong Turn" is a poignant reflection on the consequences of our actions and the importance of making the right choices in life before it's too late.

@@Hidan6996 Three finger was in all the original time lined movies yes but he didn't survive. He was killed by Nate in the third one with a hook through the head and then exploded with the car shortly after.

The first one was good,
The second was better,
The third is fun,
The fourth was good,
The fifth was bad,
The sixth was literally a porno.

The remake just isn't a wrong turn film.

@Greatelsewhere

for anyone wondering why this ain't out as albums and stuff is because they made the song to fit the movie, they'll hire a team to come up w/ a song for the movie... several movies do it, if u listen closely you'll hear that it's really describing the movie.
