The origins of Blanche can be traced back to the early '90s band Goober & the Peas. Led by Dan "Goober" Miller, the band was devoted to cowpunk, and dressed in honky-tonk attire. Since 2003, Blanche has performed at several international music festivals, including Lowlands, Pukkelpop and the CMJ Music Marathon. The band opened for and toured with The White Stripes, Loretta Lynn, Ditty Bops, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, Calexico, The Kills, and Brendan Benson, among others. I can feel it in my bones
There's no more lies, need to leave my comfort zone
Look in my eyes, if you don't turn this down
I'll be surprised
I can't go on on my own
It all started in November
You might get lost but just remember
Don't hold back
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
Don't hold me back any longer
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
So don't hold me back any longer
I tried and tried
No interest's too strong
But I'm not the type to leave before the dawn
Look in my eyes don't you think we could grow
Just one mistake
I tried before I move on
It all started in November
We made it through December
You might get lost but just remember
Don't hold back
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
Don't hold me back any longer
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
So don't hold me back any longer (longer)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
(Stronger)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
I sang this (sang this)
Hard to enjoy the moment
Feel like I'm miles away
Hundred thoughts spinning around
Soon it's gonna be away
(I sang this)
I set it off, I set it off
You set it off, you set it off
(I sang this)
(Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Soon it's gonna be away
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
Don't hold me back any longer
I sang this song for a moment
You better fly high till it's over
Come on let the vibe make you stronger
So don't hold me back any longer
(I sang this)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
(I sang this)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
(I sang this)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
(I sang this)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
The song "Moment" by Blanche is about leaving one's comfort zone, taking risks, and pursuing one's dreams. The first verse expresses a feeling of determination to try something new, to leave the familiar and the safe, and to take a chance. The second verse refers to a relationship that started in November and made it through December, suggesting that the singer may be trying to pursue a career opportunity or a creative project that is risky, but worth pursuing. Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes the importance of not holding back, flying high and letting the vibe make them stronger.
The chorus is an uplifting and motivational message to keep moving forward, even if it's difficult. The repetition of "I sang this song for a moment" could imply that the singer is making the most of the moment and seizing the opportunity at hand. The bridge is reflective and introspective, acknowledging that it's hard to enjoy the moment when there are so many thoughts swirling around, but the singer is determined to "set it off" and take action.
