Hey There Delilah
Blue Lyrics

Following after me
Just like a flower searching for a Bee
Hey Pretty Woman
following after me
I say hey baby come sit and talk to me
Hey There Pretty Woman
Just like a flower searchin for a Bee
Hey Pretty Woman
Following after me
I say hey baby come sit and talk to me
I like the way you look at me
Fine and Sexy as can be
With eyes of love that pierce my heart
You're just the one to tear it apart
Everybody says
You're too good for me
I could never be as true as need be
Hey Pretty Woman
Following after me
I say hey baby come sit and talk to me
When all the stories are told
You'll find they are just so old
Jealousy and hate surrounds us both
But we we know what it's worth
Everyday that passes
Closer we will be
Many women pass me
That I don't even see
Hey Pretty Woman
Come sit and talk to me
In "Hey There Pretty Woman" by Blue, the lyrics depict a situation where the singer is being pursued by an attractive woman. He compares her to a flower searching for a bee, indicating her desire to be with him. He invites her to come and talk to him, showing his openness to getting to know her.
The lyrics continue to describe the physical attractiveness of the woman, with the singer expressing admiration for the way she looks. He acknowledges the strong effect her gaze has on him, describing her eyes as piercing his heart. However, he also acknowledges the potential pain that could come from being involved with someone like her, stating that she could be the one to tear his heart apart.
Despite any doubts or criticisms from others who claim she is "too good" for him or that he can't be as true as she needs, the singer still invites the woman to come and have a conversation with him. It seems that he is willing to take a chance on their connection and believes that they have something valuable together.
Overall, the lyrics of "Hey There Pretty Woman" explore themes of attraction, desire, and the potential challenges that can arise when pursuing a relationship. It appears to be a song about taking risks and embracing the possibility of love, even in the face of potential obstacles.

Hey there, Delilah
What's it like in New York city?
I'm a thousand miles away
But, girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes, you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear, it's true
Hey there, Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
What you do to me
Hey there, Delilah
I know times are gettin' hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good
Hey there, Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
And we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah, I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame
Hey there, Delilah
You be good, and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be makin' history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there, Delilah, here's to you
This one's for you
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
What you do to me
Oh, whoa, whoa
Oh whoa, oh
Oh, oh
