Aaron, who hails from Auburn, Indiana, was surrounded by music growing up. After a brief stint in college; his father Jeoffrey, a professional gospel singer, invited Aaron to tour with him. Together they played more than 130 concerts annually for several years and recorded three CD's. The experience sculpted Aaron to the techniques of duo singing, which may be one reason why he never quite hit the jackpot after leaving to seek his fortunes as a solo artist.
Scott, who was born in Delight, Arkansas - and raised in Los Angeles started singing at an early age with his Uncle Jack; but, his strongest musical influence came from close family friend, Glenn Campbell. After high school, Scott, who had been acting as well as playing music, picked up work in commercials and on television shows.
Aaron and Scott teamed up after meeting on a music video in Nashville five years ago. It was an instant brotherhood! The two were inseparable! After years of friendship, and a bit of gentle pressure from their wives - the guys decided to see how it felt to sing together. They discovered not only did they have a perfect friendship, but also perfect harmonies!
One fateful day, the duo made it to Curb Records. There, they sat down in front of Doug Johnson, the A&R director for the new Asylum subsidiary, and performed. When they were finished, the first words out of Doug's mouth were "Man, one of you is really gonna have to screw this up to not make it work." With that, Blue County was officially born. Scott and Aaron have finished their sophomore album and it will be released very soon. Their new single "I Get To" can be heard on a radio station near you.
Losing At Loving
Blue County Lyrics

I feel sad about
The way you broke my heart
But the last time that I lost this bet
I had to sell my car
Somebody call me a doctor
Somebody call me a nurse
But losing at loving is worse
I'm not saying
I'm depressed about
The way things didn't work out
But the last time that I lost this bet
I had to sell my house
Somebody call me a gypsie
Somebody take off this curse
Losing a game is a cryin' shame
But losing at loving is worse
It's like
Joan of two when ya need three
It's like
Joan of three when ya need a four
It's like
Joan of four when ya need a five
It's like
Being dead when you're still alive
I'm not saying
I've gone mad since you left
I'm not bored enough
But the last time that I lost this bet
I had to sell my little brother
Come on
Somebody call me a preacher
Somebody call me a herse
Losing a game is a cryin' shame
But losing at loving is worse
Oh
Somebody call up St. Peter
You better hurry
Or I might get there first
Losing a game is a cryin' shame
But losing at loving is worse
Oh
Losing at loving is worse
In Blue County's song "Losing At Loving", the singer expresses the pain and heartbreak that comes with losing at love. The lyrics draw a comparison between losing at love and losing a bet, but losing at love is even worse because it takes a toll on the heart and soul. The singer starts by saying that he doesn't feel sad about the way his lover has broken his heart, but the last time he lost at love like this, he had to sell his car. This shows the severity of how badly love can impact an individual. Throughout the song, he emphasizes the desperation and the need for someone to help him get over the pain he's feeling. He wants someone to call him a doctor or a nurse, to help him heal his heartache.
The lyrics also contain a series of metaphors designed to relay how painful losing in love can be. The singer compares losing at love to being dead while still alive. He also compares this feeling to needing Joan of four when you need a five. This all emphasizes the frustration and sense of defeat one feels when love doesn't work out. Towards the end of the song, the singer talks about how he hasn't gone mad since his lover left him, but losing the bet that was love has left him with nothing else to sell except for his little brother. The lyrics take an ironic turn when he asks someone to call up St. Peter, and they better hurry, or he might get there first. It's a humorous way of saying that losing at love can sometimes make you feel like you're dying.
