The song "Snart Kommer Natten" by Bo Kaspers Orkester describes a nostalgic moment of the singer, who finds himself sitting on a friend's couch where he once lived, reminiscing about a time when he and his significant other were on their way out of town, and he could not see that she was slipping away. He should have noticed the signs that she was leaving, but he was blind to her actions. The song also speaks about how the singer and his love had drifted apart and became distant before his significant other left him. The chorus "snart kommer natten" translates to "the night is coming," providing a sense of foreboding that something is about to end or change in the singer's life.
The lyrics describe the deep emotions of regret and longing that the singer feels as he remembers his past relationship. The song's verses emphasize the sadness of the situation, how he did not realize she was leaving, and how they had long since drifted apart before her departure. The phrase "i en soffa som jag känner till" (in a sofa that I know well) alludes to the fact that this was once his home, where they had their first child, but where they also had their last fight. The memory of the good and bad times, coupled with the realization that he lost someone he loved, makes it hard for him to sleep, and he longs to be far away from this painful memory.
