I think it is absolutely wonderful! What great feeling!

Thanks, Juan, for posting this. I don't have perfect pitch; but, I can see that Jess is playing in the key of F major, but comparing it to my piano it sounds as if the tune is being played in Gb. Perhaps playback of the Snader source was a little too fast. Like I said, I don't have perfect pitch, so it doesn't bother me a bit. Great performance and great to see Jess Stacy, one of my favorite piano men. Thanks again.

@34Packardphaeton Thanks for your comment but keep in mind that the original version is was played by these players as members and formers of the Bob Crosby Orchestra. The Bob Crosby Orchestra and the Bob Cats included (at various times) Billy Butterfield, Muggsy Spanier, Matty Matlock, Warren Smith, Eddie Miller, Jess Stacy, Nappy Lamare, Bob Haggart, Jack Sperling, and Ray Bauduc. The popularity of Bob Crosby orch and the Bob Cats was evident during the frequent reunions in the 1950s and 1960s

Was Jess Stacy with Bob before or after Benny?

pianopappy

@Tommy Hall After. Jess joined Goodman's band in 1935 and joined Crosby in the 1940's..

A favorite song at Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
