When this album came out in 1976 this was just one song I couldn’t get enough of. I mean I would play it over and over and over again. Whether I was feeling bad, in a party mood or just needed a pick me up. To me this piece of muse was like a natural high better than any drug or drink could ever get you and blew the concept right out of the water that the blues had to be depressing.
Blues is a genre that has a range from where it originated born right out of the deepest of pain from the heart and soul but in the same respect could express great joy from those same places for when that pain eased up a bit……and it was time to let it all go.
Thus “Let The Good Times Roll”.
B.B. King is in a league of his own that no one on this earth past, present or future that anybody will ever be able to touch.
His talent on so many of his own composed songs at times seemed to be able to touch a part of other people’s souls that no one else could zone in on. And that is a rarity.
Bobby 'Blue' Bland in his own right has had a lengthy career that started in 1951. In 57′ he scored #1 on the R&B charts and #43 on the Pop with “Farther Up the Road”. He had a magnitude of singles that charted “I Pity The Fool” (1 r&b/pop 46) & “Turn On Your Love Light” (2/28) both in 1961 among them.
So when they got together for this particular concert we got the best explosion of the song that blues ever put out. It was recorded at the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles, Ca.
You have to love the blues to understand them, both in sadness and joy. This one was pure, raw, talented, let loose fun.

I. One hell of a great Soul album. Every track will knock your lights out a little more than the last one did. Its constantly building up to to the finally and leaves the listener begging pleading, for more.
Luckly, there is a Volume 2 named Together Again and it too will knock your socks off. Both of these albums, totally bring the pure excitment of being at the live show. I have seen both artists on numerous occasions, and these CD's are the next best thing to being there in person.
Great joking between performers, and the Soul is that type of Soul that is dripping with grease, and like Tina Turner says, "Nothin no good without the grease. These CD"s should be sold with moist towletts included. I'm ready anytime for Volume 3. Take the hint BB & Bobby.
II. Much of bb king's stuff is "more of the same" but I can't stop listening to this one. It is a very casual and very inspired recording that is technically very well recorded. Just try not to smile as BB and Bobby try to catch each other in verses with no obvious rhyme. It is equal parts blues, soul, intimate riffs, big groovy horns, house rockin music, and down home storytelling. The interaction of these two artists with each other and with the audience is first class. Definately an overlooked gem.
III. If you enjoy the live blues scene, you'll love this piece. You can almost feel the ambiance of a dimly lit, smokey blues club. Poor yourself a mellow bourbon, light up a fine cigar and enoy a laid back evening with the legendary blues of Mr. B.B. King & Bobby Blue Bland. The bond of these two long time friends is obvious in their free-flowing dialog and makes for a comfortable evening of easy listening. This release has been somewhat overlooked throughout the years..... share it with your friends.

Kote ou vle pou m ale
Fè m konnen volonte ou
Montre mwen sa m gen pou fè
Ban mwen kouraj nan danje
Montre m chache sekou ou
Fè m konn ou kapab sove
Kenbe mwen nan lanmou ou
Fè mwen rete fò e fèm
E lè mwen kanpe tousèl
Avèk men ou pwoteje m
Lè kè mwen ranpli ak jwa
Ede mwen pou sonje ou
Sa ki fè mwen pi kontan
Se lanmou ou gen pou mwen
Lè travay mwen sanble di
Ede m gen pèseverans
Nan soufrans nan maladi
Ban m kouraj ak pasyans

Pou tout mò an Kris yo leve
Pou y al rankontre Jezi

Gémissant sous l'esclavage
Dans la sombre nuit
Amis reprenez courage
Déjà l'aube luit
Oh joyeuse espérance.
Voici la délivrance
Nous connaissons la puissance
De notre grand Libérateur
Et nous vous disons confiance
Venez donnez-lui votre coeur
Que de larmes, que de chutes
Dans la sombre nuit
Voici la fin de vos luttes
Déjà l'aube luit
Oh joyeuse espérance
Voici la délivrance
Nous connaissons la puissance
De notre grand Libérateur
Et nous vous disons confiance
Venez donnez-lui votre coeur
Prenant en dégoût la vie
Coeurs découragés
Que pourrait votre énergie
Pauvres naufragés
Oh joyeuse espérance
Voici la délivrance
Nous connaissons la puissance
De notre grand Libérateur
Et nous vous disons confiance
Venez donnez-lui votre coeur
Lui qui fit tomber nos chaînes
Et nous affranchit
Voit aussi vos luttes vaines
Dans la sombre nuit
Oh joyeuse espérance
Voici la délivrance
Croyez donc à la puissance
De notre Grand Libérateur
Et venez avec confiance
Venez donnez-lui votre coeur

The song Medley by Bobby Bland and B.B. King is a blues ballad that talks about the end of a relationship. The lyrics express the loss of excitement, joy, and passion, which was once present in the relationship. The title of the song, Medley, is significant as it represents a combination of two different blues tracks in one. The lyrics "The thrill is gone, the thrill is gone away" is repeated three times in the song, which emphasizes the importance of the thrill and its absence in the relationship.
The song's lyrics suggest that the singer's partner has done him wrong, and he is now moving on from the relationship, feeling lonely but determined. The line "Although, I'll still live on, But so lonely I'll be" perfectly captures the singer's state of mind after losing his thrill in the relationship. The song's message is powerful as it highlights the importance of excitement and passion in a relationship and how the absence of the same can impact an individual's life.
Line by Line Meaning
The thrill is gone
I no longer feel the excitement and passion that I once had
The thrill is gone away
The feeling of excitement has completely disappeared
The thrill is gone baby
The feeling of passion that we once had is now gone
You know you done me wrong baby
You know that you have hurt me deeply
And you'll be sorry someday
One day you will regret what you did to me
It's gone away from me
The feeling of excitement and passion is no longer present in my life
Although, I'll still live on
Despite the loss of that feeling, I will continue with my life
But so lonely I'll be
I will be left feeling lonely and unfulfilled
It's gone away for good
The loss of that passion and excitement is permanent
Someday I know I'll be open armed baby
I know that in the future I will be ready to love again
Just like I know a good man should
I will be ready to love and embrace a good man deserving of my love
You know I'm free, free now baby
I am no longer bound by the spell you had over me
I'm free from your spell
The power you once held over me is now gone
And now that it's all over
Now that our relationship is over
All I can do is wish you well
All I can do is hope that you find happiness and success in the future

You have no Idea what THIS medley of BLUES means to me. There are no words. Memories all collected, gathered, and somewhat mushed together in a warm delightful ball of appreciation and happiness. My Lord... I can only say ... If I knew then what I know now, but how can you know. I suppose that's what makes it so precious. The innocence mystic of the memory. Nothing but a blessing. That line that says "COME BACK, BABY ...PLEASES, don't go, further on down the road, you will reap just what you sow. Gonna miss you when you're gone. You told me that. But I guess, I was just NOT in a place I could Hear..... REAL TALK
