Zero
Bobs and Sounds Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Me ne stavo zitto, amici non ne avevo tanti
Ho cambiato case, scuole, amici e camere
Non dormivo la notte, stavo sempre sveglio fino all'alba
Un ragazzino inerme nel centro della burrasca
E non voglio guardami più indietro, no no
Devo riuscire a farcela adesso, oh oh
E non voglio guardami più indietro, no no
Devo riuscire a farcela adesso, oh oh
Devo passare da zero a cento, uoh uoh
The lyrics to Zero by Bobs and Sounds depict the struggles of a young boy growing up different from everyone else. The first half of the song speaks of his trouble making friends and feeling alone, and the departure of his father. He then seeks guidance from older boys to become "adult and bad." However, he still struggles with social anxiety and is always on the move between different homes, schools, and friends.
In the second half of the song, the boy speaks of his dreams for the future, wanting money, respect, and luxury. He also talks about his hunger for success and how he will never forget the people who doubted him. He vows to leave everything to his children and make his mother proud.
The overall message of the song is one of perseverance, despite adversity. The lyrics capture the universal feeling of not quite fitting in and the struggle to find oneself in a complex and challenging world.

Thanks for compiling this! That's my voice but I didn't ever make a compilation back in the day.

If Bungie ever break away from Activision and remake Marathon/make Marathon 4 at long last, would you be the voice of Bob again? It could also include a Bob sidekick character that's basically Kenny from South Park in terms of how the Bobs are famously treated, while being the Marathon answer to Barney Calhoun or Isaac Kleiner.

The perfect voice for BOB especially loved the delivery on "see you starside"

"See ya starside" is easily the coolest delivery of that line. Its still burned into my brain and I have tried in vain to make it a part of my daily vocabulary.

Cannot believe that most of the character designs from Destiny came from this game.

Some of these lines legitimately sound like they were voiced by Weird Al.
