Thrill me, honey, honey, thrill me
Don't care even if I blow my top
But, honey, honey, don't stop
I'd like to play a little game with you
A little game especially made for two
If you come close then I will show you how
Closer, closer, now
Kiss me, honey, honey, kiss me
Thrill me, honey, honey, thrill me
Don't care even if I blow my top
But, honey, honey, don't stop
We've never played this little game before
If you relax then you'll enjoy it more
Just settle down and let me teach you how
Closer, closer, now
Kiss me, honey, honey, kiss me
Thrill me, honey, honey, thrill me
Don't care even if I blow my top
But, honey, honey, don't stop
(But, honey, honey, don't stop)
You kiss so well my lips begin to burn
And I can tell I've got a lot to learn
So hold me close and darling show me how
Closer, closer, now
Kiss me, honey, honey, kiss me
Thrill me, honey, honey, thrill me
Don't care even if I blow my top
But, honey, honey, don't stop
(Don't care even if I blow my top)
But, honey, honey, don't stop
(Never stop)
The Bombalurina song "Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me" is a playful and seductive tune in which the singer invites her lover to kiss and thrill her. The song starts with an insistent call to "kiss me, honey, honey kiss me" that sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer doesn't care about anything else, even if she "blows her top," as long as her lover keeps kissing and thrilling her. She suggests playing a little game made for two and promises to teach her lover how to play if he gets close to her. The song is all about physical attraction and desire and the thrill of getting lost in the moment with the one you love.
The lyrics suggest that the couple hasn't played this game before but assures her partner that if he relaxes, he will enjoy it more. She wants him to hold her close and show her how to kiss better. The song is catchy, with the chorus repeated several times, emphasizing the insistent desire for kissing and thrilling.
The song's mood is very similar to the 1963 song "Sugar Shack" by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs. The music in both songs is light and playful, making it perfect for dancing, holding each other close and kissing. The song was a hit in the UK in the early 1990s and reached number one on the UK charts, making it Bombalurina's only big hit.
