In 1994 the band was signed to Capitol Records and released an album entitled Stomp Revival in Mid 1995. The band toured with some major acts during 1995-1996, including Bob Seger and Santana. During these touring years the band also featured Jason Dunaway on bass and Mickey Grimm on drums. During early 1996, Kenny Mims left the band and was replaced by former Walk The West fiddle/mandolin player Tramp. The band's relationship with Capitol soured and they split with the label, releasing their second album, "Traveler's Companion" on their own SuperDuperRecordings imprint. Sometime in late 1996, Jason and Mickey left the band, yet Johnson, Ward and Tramp soldiered on as a three piece. Traveler's Companion continued with their brand of self-described "Power Folk" music and featured a guest vocal appearance by fellow alt-country pioneer Lucinda Williams. In mid-1999 Bryan Ward exited the fold and the band recruited Nick Nguyen to handle guitar duties. Bonepony continued to tour the US and Canada with a break-neck schedule of 200 plus dates a year.
Bonepony's current lineup, Scott Johnson, Nicolas Nguyen, and Kenny Wright is responsible for the bands fourth studio CD, Feeling It. The effort pulls the Bonepony sound more towards the electric rock bands of the seventies, while still managing to stomp their way through rural tracks like "Lonely" and "Farewell". Bonepony is currently on tour in support of their live concert DVD Celebration Highway. Filmed at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, the release captures the band's energetic live show and feature songs from all of their studio releases as well as unreleased songs seldom performed live. Guest musicians Mickey Grimm, Jason Dunaway and Chris Carmichael make Celebration Highway a memorable Bonepony show.

Bleecker Street
Bonepony Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Shines through my window on my bedroom walls
Even in the light it's hard to see
Why no woman's sleeping next to me
Well, I best not lose myself
'Cause then I wouldn't have nobody else
To tell the things that a dreamer dreams
Take a walk down Bleeker Street
(There's people down, it seems I'm not the only)
Trampled underneath the feet of lonely
If I wasn't such a comely man
It wouldn't be so hard to understand
Why every time I find someone
I wind up reeling from her smoking gun?
It gets hard to be myself
When I've got to keep my love on the shelf
'Cause even deserts need a little rain
To end the drought and wash away the pain
Take a walk down Bleeker Street
(There's people down, it seems I'm not the only)
Trampled underneath the feet of lonely
If I wasn't such a comely man
It wouldn't be so hard to understand
I've tried so hard but I can't see
Why no one waits at home for me
Spent time watchin' falling rain
Count the droplets on my window pane
Looking for a lover in the chilly wet
Rainy days are gone I haven't found her yet
I ain't hard to satisfy
No, I never been the kind to justify
If I deserve a little misery
Well, then I guess I'd better let it be
Take a walk down Bleeker Street
(There's people down, it seems I'm not the only)
Trampled underneath the feet of lonely
Well, if I wasn't such a comely man
It wouldn't be so hard to understand
I've tried so hard but I can't see
Why no one waits at home for me?
The lyrics of Bonepony's song "Bleecker Street" present an introspective reflection on loneliness and the difficulties of finding romantic love. The song begins with the singer waking up alone, and even in the light of day, he is unable to comprehend why he cannot find someone to sleep beside him. He acknowledges that he must not lose himself, as he relies on his own dreams and creativity to survive life's harshness.
The chorus of the song introduces the name of the street that the singer takes a walk down. Bleecker Street is known for its artists, poets, and musicians who have historically populated the area. However, the singer is not alone in his loneliness as he realizes there are others, trampled underneath the feet of lonely, sharing his experience. The singer ponders that if he were not such an attractive man, he might have an easier time understanding why every relationship fails, and he feels as though he is reeling from a smoking gun. He finds himself putting his love on the shelf but reminds himself that even deserts need a little rain.
The last verse sees the singer spending his time watching the falling rain, hoping to find love, but it eludes him. He is not a difficult man to please, never justifying his actions or feeling entitled to anything. He accepts that he may deserve a little misery and chooses to let it be. The repeated chorus reinforces the idea that the singer is not alone in his loneliness, and he wonders why nobody waits for him at home.
