Days To Come
Bonobo; Bajka Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Journey set sail was to leave
Cause I'm only birds & bees
Lose and news and all things be
Sunlight garden low red blossoms
Moon tides of the sea

When struggling for a magic grain
We throw our life to the winds like rain
For goodness sake
Spare your failings and take the ability
To strengthen
No spirit can stimulate all minds
Blossoms of days to come

Blossoms of days to come

Move away from your western guns
Travel towards eastern suns
Far above all earthly goals
A pledge for creation's soul
Spirit finds fresh morning and the dew
Of precious things
Hope is a phoenix building wings to fly
And what we wish shall be
Like a breathe of fresh air
Safe and secret powers
That no love can spare

Move away from your western guns
Travel towards eastern suns
Far above all earthly goals
A pledge for creation's soul

Far above all earthly goals
A pledge for creation's soul

Move away from your western guns
Travel towards eastern suns
Far above all earthly goals
A pledge for creation's soul
A pledge for creation's soul

Far above all earthly goals
A pledge for creation's soul

Overall Meaning

The song "Days to Come" by Bonobo featuring Bajka, carries an uplifting message of hope and renewal. The lyrics speak of a journey of self-discovery and the importance of leaving behind one's past failures and weaknesses, to take the ability to strengthen and move towards a brighter future. The line "Journey set sail was to leave" suggests a departure from the present, a striving to move away towards an unknown destination. The comparison to birds and bees highlights the freedom that one experiences when journeying towards a new beginning. The use of natural imagery associated with the sun, the garden, and the sea helps evoke a peaceful setting reflecting the transformation taking place. The chorus, "Blossoms of days to come," refers to the life-changing moments that await the singer, the buds that eventually will blossom into beautiful outcomes.

The second verse, particularly the lines "Move away from your western guns, travel towards eastern suns," appeals to the sense of breaking away from one's familiar surroundings and embracing the unfamiliar. In this sense, the emphasis may be more about embracing diversity, cultural exchange and a quest towards enlightenment. "A pledge for creation's soul" is a call to society to act as an agent of growth towards a better future, to work together to create a harmonious world for all.

Ezt a pár sort neked irtam Papa ... :(

Könnyeim neked szólnak, most gyújtok egy gyertyát érted,
De még találkozni fogunk igérem , vár a következő élet!
Az utam a temetőbe vezet , s a sirodra egy koszorút teszek rá,
Soraimat befejezem, mert lelkemet elöntötte a szomorúság...

This song makes me think about visiting a foreign country, like Thailand or Peru, walking through a small intimate city at night lit with warm lights. Distant chatter and laughs in the background. People connecting at outdoor restaurants eating healthy and delicious foods. Walking alone through a city as a foreign girl, with the knowing that life is all about these kinds of explorations. Or at least that’s what feels good to me
