Boom Boom Satellites Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Let me out,I am always there
Let me out,I am always there

I am always there
I am always there
I am always there

Bet your eyes, set me free from here
I would play...... I would play your game

I would play your game
I would play your game
I would play your game
I would play your game
I would play your game

I've been waiting for your turn
Feel time running through my hands
I'm in loss to win or lose
No,I can't stay in my skin
Hold my breath so eyes are blaze
Feed me with your freezing heart

Pleased to meet you, take my hand
Soon I could be a brand new me

Let me out,I am always there
Let me out,I am always there

I am always there
I am always there
I am always there

Bet your eyes, set me free from here
would play......
I would play your game

I would play your game
I would play your game

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Boom Boom Satellites' "Play" are enigmatic and open to subjective interpretation. At the core of the song is the singer's plea to be released from their current circumstances or state of being. The repeated refrain "Let me out, I am always there" suggests a feeling of being trapped, confined or unable to escape one's own thoughts or emotions.

The line "Bet your eyes, set me free from here" could be interpreted as a plea for someone to see the singer for who they truly are and to help them break free. The line "I would play your game" could be seen as the singer's willingness to conform to someone else's expectations or rules in order to escape their current situation.

The second verse references the passage of time and the pressure to make a decision: "Feel time running through my hands, I'm in loss to win or lose." This suggests that the decision to break free is not an easy one, and that there is a risk involved. The line "No, I can't stay in my skin" could be interpreted as feeling uncomfortable in one's own body or situation.

The chorus repeats several times, highlighting the urgency of the singer's desire to be released: "Let me out, I am always there / Bet your eyes, set me free from here." The song ends on a hopeful note, with the line "Soon I could be a brand new me," suggesting that there is the possibility of change and transformation.

The most amazing live drums of all time in this video. Who knew a human could replicate the crushing BBS album drum style. And such an intense song. A fan since '98. I so regret missing their 2010 US tour stop in Cambridge, MA. And I miss their unique sound. RIP Michiyuki Kawashima.

The best band from Japan by far! !!! I saw them live in Osaka in 2008 Summer sonic!!!! and truly sad that the singer passed away, RIP Kawashima san!

I am so sad that I discovered them now when I can never experience this live performance in person ever. This song instantly put them up on my list of bands I would have paid a ridiculous amount of money to travel and see live.

This is my new favorite song/band.  I've listened to this thing over and over again for 3 solid days now.  These guys are AMAZING.

And Yoko Fukuda?  So THAT's what a Jedi looks like when she takes up percussion.  :D
