Already featured on BBC Radio One’s Essential Mix and as Record Of The Week on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World, ‘Quadcore’ is a crazed crossover beast that takes in elements of electro, tech-house, trance and progressive and unleashes them into a uniquely groovy, bass squelching dancefloor bomb.
With pacey, weaving layers of rippling bass, jittery electro synths and head-spinning sonic trickery, ‘Quadcore’ ramps up to a fierce crescendo before collapsing into a reflective musical breakdown – only to smash back into a suckerpunch of dirty electro squelch. A unique beast that is loaded with ideas and surprise shifts, 'Quadcore' is sure to trample over all sorts of genre barriers and find fans in all corners.
It would take a confident producer to take on such a track and Mau5trap's Steve Duda is certainly that. A collaborator of the mighty Deadmau5, Duda has also worked with renowned artists like industrial pioneers Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie and A Perfect Circle. Bringing three decades of production expertise to the ‘Quadcore’ table, Duda’s remix is a respectful rework that keeps the dirty electro groove but adds a beautifully emotive piano melody that is both sombre and optimistic.

It's strange, this tune really isn't my thing yet I've listened to it quite a lot according to iTunes. Hypnotic I guess. Anjunadeep tends to be that way.

FULLY AGREED! He's the one that was able to not only break through, but do it in a fabulous creative way. Today he's made his money and fell into the distraction-trap that all successful artists fall into, now making vanilla music. Shame, his 'Random Album Title' back in 2007 is a MASTERPIECE, but on to the new one - and that is - Andrew Motherfucking Bayer!

I heard this live at godskitchen when they road tested it. Fucking EPIC bomb!

The thing with deadmau5 is that SOMEONE has to be a figurehead for a genre, it turns out its him. Some songs are fantastic (from this genre) and a whole roost of other artists make this style of music and actual style and not just unorganized noise. People bang on about desdmau5 because he does some great work for this scene. And his name is spread about in music thats in games, tv shows to movies. Its not about being the best, being the figurehead, its about being part of this genre.appreciate!

42 comments and no one mentions Trifonic? I say, everything they touch turns into gold.
