Me You And My Medication
Boys Like Girls Lyrics

I've had too much to smoke, too much to drink, where have I been?
I feel like the stars are getting closer and the sky is closing in
And I don't know where to begin
We're all looking for something, to take away the pain
Me, and you, and my medication (making the best of it)
Synthetic sensation
Me, you, and my medication
The way back to the right track, maybe you can help me find the door
Is it too much to ask, too much too fast, too much to ignore?
It feels like your body's getting closer but you seem so far away
Medicine make it ok
We're all looking for someone, to take away the pain
Me, and you, and my medication (making the best of it)
Love is just a chemical creation (will it be permanent?)
Synthetic sensation
Me, you, and my medication
So can you feel it?
Do you feel it coming down?
You gotta get up
Can you get up off the ground?
Can you hear it?
Can you hear me screaming?
So can you feel it?
Do you feel it coming down?
You gotta get up
Can you get up off the ground?
I wanna hear it
Wanna hear you breathing
We're all addicted to something, that takes away the pain
Me, and you, and my medication (making the best of it)
Love is just a chemical creation (will it be permanent?)
Synthetic sensation
Me, you, and my medication
Boys Like Girls's song "Me You And My Medication" is a representation of the band's signature sound that blends catchy pop melodies with energetic guitar riffs. The lyrics tell the story of a person who has been indulging in drugs and alcohol, and they feel lost and helpless. They are searching for someone or something to take away the pain and find a way back to the right track. However, all they have is their medication to cope with the situation. The song is ultimately a tribute to the power of love, chemistry, medicine, and relationships to help overcome the struggles of daily life.
The chorus of the song, featuring the lyrics "Me, and you, and my medication, making the best of it, love is just a chemical creation, will it be permanent? Synthetic sensation, me, you, and my medication," shows how the singer thinks that a combination of medicine and a relationship can help him overcome his struggles. The song hints at the possibility of addiction and the potential harm that can arise from taking medication without proper medical supervision. The verses describe the singer's current state of revelry and isolation, highlighting the haunting melody that accompanies the lyrics.
