How much should it cost
To make things right
Do I have to pay for life
We all fall short sometimes
And I'm guilty of that crime
But I just wanna make you see
That you can still believe in me
I am what I am I'm only a man
So don't take my joy away
Don't turn your back on me
Speak to me let me know how you feel
If you feel like you can hold on and be strong
I will never leave you lonely
I cry sometimes cause I make you cry
And that ain't right
I won't make the same mistake twice
Baby please forgive me
No I can't erase the wrong I've done
But I hope you can give me another chance
Cause if you were me you would want the same
And I'd give that chance to you
The lyrics of Boyz II Men's "Human II" are about repentance and seeking forgiveness for past mistakes in a relationship. The song's protagonist acknowledges that he has made a mistake and caused the relationship to break down, and he is now seeking to make amends for his actions by asking for forgiveness. He expresses his inner feelings of regret and sorrow, acknowledging that he has hurt his partner and himself.
The song explores the theme of human fallibility, that no matter how perfect or mistake-free people try to be, they are bound to make mistakes. It suggests that despite one's actions, it is important to remain open, honest, and vulnerable in relationships, and trust that others will also have the ability to offer forgiveness and acceptance.
Overall, "Human II" is a powerful ballad that highlights the importance of forgiveness, redemption, and the possibility of reconnection in relationships.

I know this was my fault but
I acknowledge that the mistake was mine,
How much should it cost
What is the price I have to pay,
To make things right
To correct my error and restore what we had,
Do I have to pay for life
Do I have to suffer for my wrongdoing for the rest of my days,
We all fall short sometimes
We all make mistakes occasionally,
And I'm guilty of that crime
And I am accountable for that mistake,
But I just wanna make you see
I want to help you understand,
That you can still believe in me
That you can still trust me,
I know I make mistakes
I know I am not perfect,
I am what I am I'm only a man
I am human and therefore, flawed,
So don't take my joy away
Please do not rob me of my happiness,
Don't turn your back on me
Please do not abandon or reject me,
Speak to me let me know how you feel
Please communicate with me and express your emotions,
If you feel like you can hold on and be strong
If you think you can endure and persevere,
I will never leave you lonely
I will never leave you alone,
I cry sometimes cause I make you cry
I become emotional because I made you upset,
And that ain't right
And that is not acceptable,
I won't make the same mistake twice
I will avoid repeating the same mistake,
Baby please forgive me
Please pardon me, my love,
No I can't erase the wrong I've done
I cannot undo the harm I caused,
But I hope you can give me another chance
But I hope you can grant me a second opportunity,
Cause if you were me you would want the same
Because if you were in my shoes, you would desire the same thing,
And I'd give that chance to you
And I would reciprocate that chance to you.
