1) Boyzone are an Irish boy band. Their most famous line-up was composed of Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch. Boyzone have had 21 singles in the top 40 UK charts and 22 singles in the Irish charts. The group have had 6 UK number one singles and 9 number one singles in Ireland with 12 of their 24 singles in the UK being in the UK Top 2. Boyzone are one of the most successful bands in Ireland and the United Kingdom. In total, Boyzone had 19 top 5 singles on the Irish Singles Chart, 18 top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart, nine No. 1 Irish hit singles and six No. 1 UK hit singles and five No. 1 albums, with 25 million records sold by 2013 worldwide
Boyzone were put together in 1993 by Louis Walsh who is also known for managing Johnny Logan and Westlife . Before even recording any material they made a now infamous appearance on RTÉ's The Late Late Show. Their first album Said and Done was released in 1995 and the following two studio albums in 1996 and 1998. Seven compilation albums have been released, the latest being B-Sides & Rarities in October 2008. Singer Stephen Gately died on 10 October 2009 at the age of 33.
Despite rumours of them cancelling the new album Keating, denied these allegations and revealed that Boyzone would release a new album as a tribute to Gately in 2010 which included two new songs that were sung by Stephen Gately before his death.
A song was written by singer-songwriter Mika who has also claimed that the new song he wrote for Boyzone is the last one which will feature Stephen Gately's vocals, released on their fourth studio album on 8 March 2010.
The track written by Mika became the lead single from the new album, titled "Gave It All Away". Boyzone loved this track and wished to release this song as their comeback single. The song received its first airplay on 17 January 2010. Mikey Graham stated that Gave It All Away will be released on 1 March 2010 and the album will be released a week afterwards.
From 10 January 2010 to 7 March 2010 Mikey was a contestant on the fifth series of Dancing on Ice. He was Eliminated in the 9th week of the competition after being in the "Skate-Off" with EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook, he lost with 2 votes to Westbrook's 3.
Their fourth studio album Brother was released on 8 March 2010 and become their fourth studio number one album so far.

I must've come back to this video over 2 dozen times since I landed on it...you can tell this is genuine emotion these guys are feeling...and that the loss of Stephen Gately has impacted them massively. That one clip of him cuddled up against his bandmate...that kinda of acceptance and comfort is amazing and not found easily. I bought a boyzone cd here in the states back in the mid-ish 90's and thought they were ok but I've upped my opinion greatly over the past weeks.

I really never got into Boyzone and I wish I had of. This song shows how strong the band was and how much they cared about each other. I am thankful that it is not too late to listen to this music.
