Saving All My Love
Brandy Lyrics

Love (all my life)
Your love
Your
Your love
Sorry for my tardy
Long time I was brokenhearted
I'm talking, goddamn
Can we let me live? (Can we)
Let me live
Just 'cause I can sing for you
Sounds like Brandy killed it
I'm as solid as a rock without the boat
Can't deny, the goat
But I ain't saving all my love
Laid in
Lay my burdens down, down, down
Complicated
I hesitated, yeah
I'm always in my head
They could not get me out of here (out here)
Over the rainbow somewhere, somewhere
Aggregated, agitated
I got an attitude problem
Let's resolve it, so
Sorry for my tardy
Long time I was brokenhearted
Heartache, I'm guarded
I'm talking, goddamn
Can we let me live? (Can we)
Let me live
Just 'cause I can sing for you
Sounds like Brandy killed it
I'm as solid as a rock without the boat
Can't deny, the goat
But I ain't saving all my love
I'm medicated
I'm free to move about the cabin
Here I stand
Here, take my hand
Hand in hand
It's different
Boy, you's a liar (a liar)
Throw rocks and hide your hands
I'm taking back my hands
Hop in the Mississippi river
So cry, cry me a river
Or walk on your own
Boy, I'm sorry (sorry)
Sorry for my tardy
For a long time I was brokenhearted
Heartache, I'm guarded
I'm talking, goddamn
Can we let me live? (Can we)
Let me live
Just 'cause I can sing for you
Sounds like Brandy killed it
I'm as solid as a rock, rock without the boat, yeah
Can't deny, the goat
But I ain't saving all my love
You ain't Heaven sent
Like from up above
Get on your knees, repent
And start saving all
Your love, your love, your love, your love
Your love, your love, your love
I ain't saving all my love
Sorry (sorry), sorry for my tardy
Long time I was brokenhearted (brokenhearted)
Heartache, I'm guarded
I'm talking, goddamn
Can we let me live? (Can we)
Let me live (let me live)
Just 'cause I can sing for you
Sounds like Brandy killed it
I'm as solid as a rock, rock without the boat
Can't deny, the goat
But I ain't saving all my love
Your love, your love, your love, your love
My love
But I ain't saving all my love for you
The lyrics to Brandy's song "Saving All My Love" tell the story of a person who has been hurt before and is guarding themselves against being hurt again. The first verse begins with an apology for being late or slow to respond, possibly indicating that the person has been withdrawn or hesitant to open up. The reference to being "brokenhearted" suggests that the person has been hurt in a relationship before and is hesitant to trust again. However, the chorus insists that while the person is solid and strong in themselves, they are not "saving all [their] love" for anyone else.
The second verse continues with the theme of hesitation and guardedness, with the phrase "complicated, I hesitated." The person is described as being "in their head," indicating overthinking and possibly anxiety or insecurity. The mention of wanting to go "over the rainbow somewhere" suggests a desire to escape or find a better situation. However, the chorus again asserts that the person is strong and not saving all their love for anyone else.
The bridge references medication, possibly indicating a mental health issue or struggles with addiction. The line "here, take my hand, hand in hand, it's different" suggests a new and potentially positive relationship or connection, but also acknowledges that the person has been hurt before. The final chorus repeats the main themes of the song - the person is strong and self-sufficient, but is not exclusively saving their love for someone else.
