It is from the loins of this fruitful earth that Brett and Adam sprang forth... to rock (well, maybe not so much “rock” as “gently massage your brain into a harmony-induced euphoria”).

Brevard is a quaint little mountain town nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. It’s the kind of town where you don’t simply know other families, but you grow up with them. As cheesy as it all sounds, it has the feeling of a strange extended family.

It is in this setting that on one fateful summer’s day during first grade, while Brett was dribbling a basketball about as large as him, some curly-haired goober ran out onto the court. Adam was probably chasing a butterfly or something, but since he found himself on Brett’s turf (a.k.a. the b-ball court), he decided to play. From that point on Brett and Adam were more than friends in a close-knit community; they were brothers.

It wasn’t until high school that either of them became serious about playing music together. Their first venture into music was in a band organized by their English teacher, Bob. Band practices were more entertaining than melodious, meaning everybody within earshot was most likely unappreciative. However, the focus was on having fun – and it still is.

As Brett and Adam became better musicians and better at playing together, they realized that people enjoyed listening to what they did for fun. Their light-hearted and cheerful dispositions genuinely show through in their music, which is not to say that their music is light-hearted fluff. On the contrary, the emotion with which they write is genuine.

Although Adam and Brett are two goofy brothers, they’re goofballs on a mission. The same attitude they exude as people make it into their music: what’s life if you’re not having a good time? If they can get you to have a good time listening to them, then mission accomplished.
