In 2 Deep
Broken Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Well I’ve been walking around
Seeing the ones
Laughing about
The paths I’m through

Find the place
I’m riding to
Find myself
Trying to run

I must find in between
Things there’re in the mirror
Maybe just give up
And just swim in the deep
Well I must...

Well I’ve been walking around
Seeing the ones
Laughing about
The paths I’m through
Find the place
Riding to be alone

Well I must find in between
Things there’re in the mirror
Maybe just give up

And just swim in the deep
Well I must... Run

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Broken's song "In 2 Deep" convey a sense of introspection and the search for personal identity. The songwriter describes a journey of self-discovery and a struggle to find their place in the world. They acknowledge the presence of others who mock or undermine their choices and the paths they have taken.

The phrase "Laughing about the paths I'm through" suggests that the songwriter is aware of the judgments and criticisms directed towards them. Despite this, they continue to seek a destination, a place where they can find themselves. The repetition of the line "Find the place I'm riding to" indicates their determination to discover their purpose and find a sense of belonging.

The lyrics also portray a sense of inner conflict and the need to find balance. The line "I must find in between things there're in the mirror" suggests a struggle between different aspects of the songwriter's identity. They are compelled to delve deeper into their own reflection, perhaps to better understand themselves and reconcile conflicting desires or emotions.

The refrain "Maybe just give up and just swim in the deep" hints at the notion of surrendering to the unknown and embracing the depths of their own experiences. It could be interpreted as a call to abandon the search for answers externally and instead dive into a journey of self-exploration and acceptance.

Overall, "In 2 Deep" is a reflective song about the journey to self-discovery, the desire to find one's place, and the willingness to dive into the depths of personal growth and understanding.

My pride kept God from using me. So he broke me in 2016-2017. I had nothing. He stripped me. He humble me. Homeless, lost my car, I was living at a homeless shelter. All of this could have been diverted if I wasn't prideful back then. So this song, everytime I hear it, I just want to say thank you to our Father for changing me. God bless everyone.
