1. Bronco is a Mexican Grupero group from Apodaca, N.L. Bronco's modern take on the Norteño style in the '80s and '90s helped earn them a number of international hits. Band members José Guadalupe Esparza, Ramiro Delgado, Javier Villareal, and José Luís 'Choche' Villareal crafted a sound that paid tribute to the Norteño tradition while incorporating modern instruments like keyboards, as well as a more melodic, pop style with elaborate costumes.
2. Vocalist Jess Roden, formerly of the Alan Bown Set, instigated the excellent group Bronco in 1970. Kevin Hammond (guitar, vocals), John Pasternak (bass) - both ex-Band Of Joy - Robbie Blunt (guitar) and Pete Robinson (drums) completed the line-up, which made its debut that year with Country Home, ILPS 9124 (not ILPS 9134 which was to be the catalogue number for Nick Drake's next album, "Bryter Layter"). The quintet offered a relaxed, sympathetic setting for the singer's soulful delivery, best exemplified on Ace Of Sunlight, which featured support from Ian Hunter and Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople, and Fotheringay's Trevor Lucas. Despite their promise, Bronco was unable to secure a sound commercial footing and the departure of Roden for a solo career effectively killed the group. Blunt subsequently joined Silverhead and appeared in several short-lived aggregations before securing widespread recognition with his work for Robert Plant.

Que no podrías ser de otro
En realidad la culpa ha sido solo mía
Cuando te vi en aquel baile
A media noche
Me enamore de aquellas cosas
Que decías
Trae otro vaso de cerveza cantinero
Se que hoy bebí de mas
Y que no debería
Aquí me encuentro recordando viejos tiempos
Voy a brindar
Y a festejar por su partida
Mal amor
Como quien dice
Fuiste un mal amor
Mal amor
Ay que dolor
Me da tu herida
Mal amor
Ayer te fuiste sin decirme adiós
Mal amor
Voy a arrancarte
Pero a llorarte por el resto
De mi vida
Quiero pedir
Que toquen fuerte esas canciones
Y que me den el tono
De la melodía
Para cantar acompañado de mis cuates
Y no llorar
Pensando en cuanto la quería
Mal amor
Como quien dice
Fuiste un mal amor
Mal amor
Ay que dolor
Me da tu herida
Mal amor
Ayer te fuiste sin decirme adiós
Mal amor
Voy a arrancarte
Pero a llorarte por el resto
De mi vida
In the song "Mal Amor" by Bronco, the lyrics talk about the pain of a failed relationship. The singer laments his mistake of believing that his partner would never leave him, and admits that the fault was his own. He recalls how he fell in love with the things she said to him at a dance, and now drinks to forget the memories. The chorus repeats the phrase "mal amor", which means "bad love" in Spanish, and expresses the singer's pain at the loss of his lover.
The second verse of the song talks about the singer's desire to sing along with his friends, and not cry while doing so. He asks the musicians to play loud so that he can feel the melody and sing his heart out. The chorus repeats twice more, each time with more intensity and emotion. The final line of the song expresses the singer's love for his former partner, even though their relationship was a "mal amor".
Overall, "Mal Amor" is a powerful ballad that captures the universal pain of lost love. The lyrics are straightforward and relatable, and the music sets the perfect mood for a melancholy reflection on the past. It's a testament to Bronco's ability to craft emotionally charged songs that resonate with their listeners.
