Rocksteady
Broussard Marc Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I think I feel like sleepin' in
I won't woke up 'til Friday night
The moment the weekend begins
I'm packing up my ride and I'm leaving

When I get there
You better be ready to rocksteady
I think I feel like sleepin' in
Last night was crazy outta sight
After my rest the fun begins
I'm packing up my ride and I'm leaving
Headed straight towards your door

First the song begins
You start movin' and
I get caught up in the rhythm of your hips
And I just can't wait to take this party home

When we get there
You better be ready to rocksteady

Overall Meaning

The song "Rocksteady" by Broussard Marc talks about someone who is preparing for the weekend and wants to spend it with someone they like. The singer is eagerly waiting to finish work and pack up their car before leaving to meet the person they hope will be waiting for them. Everyone has a story of where they were when they first heard a song they fell in love with. Well, the first time I heard “Rocksteady” was in 2005 while working at Borders Book Store in Waldorf, Maryland. That night before I left work I found out who the artist was, and I purchased the CD. Let me tell you, every song was pure perfection! You can feel the depths of Marc’s soul in every song especially in the songs, "Home", “Let Me Leave” and the “The Beauty of Who You Are”. This CD will always be a classic in my book. <3
