Born in Oklahoma City, she grew up half of her life in Oklahoma and the other half in Texas. She currently lives in Denton, Texas.

After graduating with a Bachelors in Finance and minor in music at University of Texas at Dallas, she moved to Austin where she began to write songs and develop a career in music. In 2014, Brytt released her first EP, 'The Alliance' under the duo name Brytt & Kev. The EP was co-written and produced with husband (Kevin Tydlacka). Brytt and her husband relocated to Nashville, TN where she started writing for a solo project. She released, "Confetti" on March 8, 2017. The EP was produced by Drac Gibson. Brytt started working with Drac in January 2015 and has been ever since.

Brytt has a strong belief in Jesus Christ which is weaved throughout her music. Her aim is to produce music that "cultivates peace in this present world, stretches and directs the heart of people, and provides music that benefits the whole person." While she doesn't specifically identify herself as a contemporary christian artist, she seeks to present a christian worldview in all her songs.
