Sin Ti
Bud & Travis Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Como si nada,
tu te fuiste,
me mentiste,
y me preguntaba,
donde estaras,
tu solo juegas y te vas

eres hermosa y yo se,
en tus besos cai,
solo dime porque,
ya no estas aqui,

sabes te recuerdo,
cuando te desvesti,
a veces me acuerdo,
pero estoy mejor sin ti

ya yo te pienso todo este tiempo
si supiera cuando droga hoy me meto
me ha paralizado el tiempo
espérame allá un momento

si no supimos amar,
como si nada, hubiera pasado.
pero voy a recordarte,
aunque se que no es tan facil

todo te recuerdo,
mami dame tiempo,

Sabes te recuerdo, cuando te desvesti

a veces me acuerdo, pero estoy mejor sin ti,
dime desde cuando.

Overall Meaning

The song "Sin Ti" by Bud & Travis talks about heartbreak and the inevitable pain that comes with a breakup. The singer is addressing the person who left them and lied to them, wondering where they are and why they played games with their heart. The singer acknowledges the physical attraction and beauty of their former flame, but they can't help but question why they are no longer together. The chorus highlights the struggle of letting go and trying to move on by reminiscing on the past, but ultimately recognizing that they are better off without that person.

The verses also touch on the difficulty of trying to forget someone and move on. The singer admits to still thinking about their former partner and how they remember certain intimate moments, but they assure themselves and the listener that they are gradually healing and better off without that person in their life. The bridge seems to add a slightly different perspective by referencing drug use and the feeling of being paralyzed by the heartbreak, but then quickly switching back to addressing the former partner and asking them to wait a moment.

this post will show everyone how cool I am. Ha! Every now and then you are in the right place at the right time. I can take no credit. Travis sans Bud....guess Bud punched Travis in the nose...anyway, his nose looked ok to me. Travis nose, the one that got punched.

He was growing just a little bit of paunch....belly...over the belt...don't know how to spell right paunch....and every night I was waiter dave at Don Quixote's Tucson and Travis would wrap up the night for anyone who's left and wanted a free shot of tequila and the lights went down and man could the man sing Malaguena Salerosa.

Funny thing is. He didn't make a big deal about who he was and the way he and Bud...anyway...forget all that....I was there. And thank you some powers that be. And thank you Travis for the songs you learned me around the campfire up after work up on chilly nights Mt. Lemmon.

To me, a little younger....he had an ego that was beautiful because the heart that it rode was a mile wider. And had to be really wide because he had an ego a man could ride. He wasn't crazed that way. Just would let you see what he is and what he could do now and then.

He gave so generously what he had to give. I still play it the way he taught me,
Sin Ti and Spanish is the Loving Tongue.

Over what hill say what? Singing for change after the Bud and Travis hoopla. Just singing and playing same ol as before. A man is what a man does.

Damn, I think I might even have got the spelling right for MS. How cool is that. Hi Travis. Good to see you again.

I have many of their records and now CD’s. I saw them perform at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in the 1960’s. I got their autographs too. Great memories!..🎶🎶😊

Thank you for sharing this song with all of us! I grew up listening to the Latin Album, it is beautiful! Brings back wonderful memories of my father - he taught us girls, my sister's & I, how to dance listening to this album. It would be very special if you could load the whole latin album on

Check out their other stuff. I’ve been listening to them since the 60’s. Unfortunately their union ended acrimoniously. They both have passed. At least that’s

jetgst2825 Thank you for keeping their memory alive. I love their work. They’re one of the reasons I play guitar. I wish more people would listen to them. I have introduced lots of folks to their marvelous albums.

I have this album... somewhere, love it. Can't find it now, but someone should post the name of the guitarist playing with them, whom they name prominently in the cover note.

I've always liked them, but Travis is my father, so perhaps I'm biased!
