Since the early 90's Ron has released over 200 songs through solo CDs and DVDs, and digital releases. He's had numerous appearances on compilation CDs and as a guest performer for other artists, appeared on magazine covers, and as a soloist toured internationally headlining venues and guitar festivals. In 2008 Ron released the "Abnormal" album, described as "Sex Pistols meets Queen, with innovative guitar and a quirky Zappa-esque twist..." In 2011 he released a song a month that included transcriptions, alternate mixes and recording stems, as an innovative way to release singles.
As a child, Ron would play Bach pieces with his feet. Today, his guitar-work can be heard on Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy album, the theme of VH1's "That Metal Show", the Latin acoustic guitar on Jessica Simpson's "Irresistible" dance mix, and CNN-Turkey station IDs to name a few. Live, he's just as diverse, whether touring the world with GNR or at local fundraisers (notably performing with Nancy Sinatra, Cyndi Lauper, composer Fahir Atakoglu, and jazz legend Allen Toussaint.)
A record producer and songwriter for artists and publishing companies often working out of his own studio in Princeton NJ, Ron has written theme songs and background music for shows that include So You Think You Can Dance, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Brokaw, Anthony Bourdan, MTV, VH1, MuchMusic, FuseTV, CW, SpikeTV, Oxygen, E!, A&E, ESPN, UFC, WWE, NFL, MLB, NBC, PBS, and SEGA, SSI and Atari videogames.
Ron is a Professor at SUNY Purchase College teaching music production, does guitar clinics around the world, and writes articles for music magazines. He is a volunteer for many charities such as Musicians On Call visiting sick children in hospitals and the MS Research Foundation, a non-profit organization that donates funds directly to Multiple Sclerosis research.
HANDS
Bumblefoot Lyrics

I had so much to say
For longest time the words weren't mine
I died an empty slave
I lost my sense of touch (I lost my sense of me)
And I was drunk with puke (shrunk every time I breathed)
My hands told wasted time (my time was not complete)
I lost my sense of sight ('cause through my hands I see)
And what I knew wasn't true (the dummy wasn't me)
I took my coat of pins (and turned it inside out)
I rid my bones of skin (and rid myself of sound)
Hands, tired hands, dirty pants
The cardhouse man fell down
Now silence is peace - speaks to me
What once was said by sound
I lost my sense of touch (I lost my sense of me)
And I was drunk with puke (shrunk every time I breathed)
My hands told wasted time (my time was not complete)
I killed time swatting flies (while roaming landfill stink)
I lost my sense of sight ('cause through my hands I see)
And what I knew wasn't true (the dummy wasn't me)
I took my coat of pins (and turned it inside out)
I rid my bones of skin (and rid myself of sound)
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free
I'm remembering who I am
My hands can feel again...
I'm free

The lyrics to Bumblefoot's "Hands" paint a vivid picture of someone who has been through a difficult journey to find themselves again. In the beginning, the singer tells us that they have found their voice after being silent for a long time. They express the feeling of being held captive by their thoughts and emotions, unable to communicate them. Their hands have been "untied," giving them the ability to speak their mind freely. The singer gives us insight into how they lost touch with themselves, both physically and mentally. They describe feeling drunk, wasting time, and being unable to see things clearly.
The chorus reinforces this sense of being lost and disconnected, as the singer tells us that they're "remembering who I am." They use the analogy of feeling their hands again to illustrate how they're rediscovering themselves, as if they were disconnected from their body before. The line "now silence is peace - speaks to me" stands out as a moment of acceptance and finding comfort in the present moment. The song ends on a hopeful note, as the singer repeats that they're free, and their hands can feel again.
Overall, "Hands" is a powerful expression of the struggle to find oneself after feeling lost and disconnected. The lyrics use vivid, sensory language to paint a picture of the singer's experience, and the chorus serves as a reminder that even when things feel bleak, it's possible to rediscover oneself and move forward.
