After him was Hunter Zolomon or just Zoom. The last one just went by Reverse Flash and his name was Daniel West. Since Hunter Zolomon isn't in this series, just calling Thawne "Zoom" works.

I think what I like most about the flash in this universe was that he and zoom explain there is far more to their powers than just being able to run fast. My biggest question is why doesn’t zoom just bolt out of that place the moment he gets the card? Yes I know he only has a limited amount of speed left and if he uses it all then he dies, but he had to have had a tiny pinch of speed force left in him after pulling out the card or else he would have just died right then and there after pulling it out. His end goal is to make sure he’s holding the card when he dies to make sure he gets into heaven. So if he just put the card in his suit and used the last of his speed to run even a few city blocks then he will die as soon as he’s empty, the card will work on him, and none of the others could do anything about it because by the time they get to his body he will have already used the card and BOOM mission accomplished.

But no he just mocks vandal savage and stares at killer frost freezing his henchman .

C. Thomas Howell is my favorite voice actor for the role of Reverse Flash. I think he captured Thawne’s cold and calculating personality very well. In the alternate timeline Thawne mentions, after he is shot in the head, Barry mentions how Batman killed him, to which Batman replies: 'Not necessarily, because you can undo all of this and start over from scratch.'
So, in some sick and twisted way, Thawne's desperate need to cling to his own survival is also ironically what got him killed. He managed to go from that timeline to the new one, but still had the hole in his head which eventually caused him to die. Had he allowed himself to die from that gunshot, Barry would have created the new timeline with everyone, including Thawne, still alive in the new timeline. Sure, this Thawne would technically be a different version of him and wouldn't have those memories, but he'd still hate Flash more than anything and want to do anything to try and kill him. He could've just trusted in the fact that that other Thawne would have stopped at nothing to do the same thing this Thawne was trying to do, but because he's incapable of trusting anyone or anything, even other versions of himself and because of his own desperate need to survive, he ended up screwing himself over.
Pretty twisted but also kinda cool to think about. Ofcourse, I could be missing a few things here, because alternate timelines and other realities and all that jazz can get hella complicated, but that's how I see it anyway.

The coolest part (Science wise) about this scene is that frost the entire time is confident copperhead is sealed in the ice. Reasoning why is one, the obvious, that snakes are coldblooded. So he‘d lose no muscle function due to the temperature and secondly that snakes can vicariously “create space” in spaces they can’t even fit into or freely move inside by compressing their bodies. Therefore, him being frozen had no bearing on him at any time during the entire scene as all he had to do was compress his muscle structure or more simply just his tail and press outwards to free himself as he does lol.

Edit: I love suicide squad and the spin off films such as this, for the sole fact that we get to see the lesser used villains and heroes. And somehow, they receive justice to their actual powers and attributes where as in most series and earlier material, there’s hardly any depth to their abilities or implementation.

Killer Frost kills Banshee and BlockBuster, but not Reverse Flash despite being distracted was due to the fact that he was holding that Get Out Of Hell card. They don't know how the card works (probably activates when the holder dies), but she didn't take that chance and instead eliminated Thawne's lackies whilst restraining Thawne. When I first saw this movie, I pretty quickly figured out something was wrong with Zoom when he said he had “gotten a cramp” after using his Speed Force powers to remove Killer Frost’s nano-bomb. I don't know, it seemed silly for Zoom not to attempt to die while holding the card. He dodged out of the way of ice spears for god's sake. If he'd just grabbed the card in his palm and taken the hit from those spikes he could have succeeded.

It really doesn't make any sense at all that Zoom can keep himself alive after the bullet is all the way through his head, but this is one of those times when artistic license trumps everything because it's just too cool! You know it's good writing when suspending your disbelief just makes you appreciate it even more!

I like this version of the Suicide Squad. They actually act like villains instead of goofy anti-heroes like they're portrayed as in other versions. This suicide squad it feels like anyone can turn on each other in an instance. This scene was absolute nuts.

Also nice reveal at the end. I didn't realize that this was the same Xoom from Flashpoint. Nice little callback.

Completely agreed. The new Suicide Squad, while enjoyable, was still missing that element: the squad are BAD GUYS. With a few exceptions, they're all career criminals, murderers, thieves, and assassins, forced to do the government's bidding. They aren't misunderstood misfits who want to be heroes.

@Silvia Fox Have you ever played Bloodrayne 2? The main character is a dhampyr (half vampire) and when you use super speed everything else slows down instead of us speeding up (from our perspective).

It's so awesome because everyone is almost frozen and we can literally walks circles around the bullets shot (even our own bullets). The bullets are so slow they make tortoises look fast. Speed is definitely the best power in the game, better than super strength. Even teleporting enemies can't do anything because even though they teleport behind you instantly, they take forever to attack.

It makes me feel like Quicksilver in that one scene from the X-Men movie.

I feel this is a fairly relevant place to leave this comment. I very much like how they took an "on the surface" simple power, the ability to move at super high speeds, and did so much with it. The fact that they thought things through to such a deep level, the ability to vibrate molecules to essentially manipulate the very laws of physics, moving through solid matter, building up kinetic energy and releasing it as incredibly powerful punches and kicks, generating lightning, it's really cool imo

Edit: it actually does leave me with questions of what could be accomplished by managing to move objects at high enough speeds. Is it possible to move faster than light, or is that going to be disproven if we ever manage to get something to move at light speed? For that matter, why would time travel be directly related to moving at high speeds? Assume you could travel through a "fold" in space, such as a wormhole, would you actually be able to move through time itself that way, or would you just come out on the other end at exactly the same moment in time, while someone watching from the point you went in would simply have the perception that you time traveled? What happens if you throw a cup attached to string into a black hole, would someone talk to you through it? As you can tell, my questions are somewhat deep, but mostly just high thoughts

You can't physically move faster than the light, can't even move at the exact, or close because the mass of even the lightest object (a single atom) goes absurdly high with that speed.

Time travel is related to high speed. The faster you go, the slower you perceive time, thus it is possible to go into the future. Objects with very strong gravity also distort time.
While time can be slowed, it cannot be stopped, so it also can't be reversed. A journey trough wormhole would be at best like nearly an instant teleportation for the observer, or at worst a very, very slow teleportation (many, many, many years, no upper limit), which would be rather fast for the crew of the ship.

If you would throw a cup attaced to a string into a black hole, the gravitation would spaghettificate the cup and then crush it, alongside the string.

The entire show was just one single paused moment where the guys running the simulation had complete control, because the moment before didn't matter, and it didn't affect the moment after. You could destroy the entire world, then just press 'play' and things would continue how they were supposed to.

I thought that was kind of cool. That's why in the first episode 'Hired,' Fitz decides to disobey his boss when he notices that the clock hasn't moved and that his reality no longer makes sense.

But how the hell did Zoom get back to the original timeline... in the alternate timeline, Batman (Thomas Wayne) shoots him in the head and Zoom falls to the ground. Flash then creates a second flashpoint and prevents himself from changing the past. So how did Zoom get back to the original timeline?

The only way he could get back is if he traveled back in time after Flash had already left (speedsters can't travel back in time if there is a second speedster). But by the time Flash had created the second flashpoint, Batman (Thomas Wayne) and the entire city was already disintegrated by the explosion. And even if Zoom was able to somehow escape the explosion and travel back in time, he would have re-entered his original body, like Flash did when he woke up in front of his work computer at the police station, with no evidence of the beating he took in the alternate timeline's war.

There are tons of holes in this loophole.

I just noticed that Zoom has the same face as Barry Allen. I guess they decided to use parts of Zoom’s origin from the early 90s “Return of Barry Allen “story where he was a mega fan of Barry that he recreated the lab accident that gave Barry his powers and also underwent plastic surgery to resemble his idol before time traveling to the past to get his autograph only to find out that not only he would become his arch enemy,but would be murdered by his hero which is what drove him insane.

Vandal is immoral but since reverse flash powers were already low his phasing wasn't upto speed he did manage to get the card out with some difficulty but shredded vandal's heart in the process causing him to die. Normally reverse flash would have pulled it off easily without killing him
