I was 10 years old in the pioneer camp.
One evening, the choir professor, Tonin Harapi, told us that we were going to give a show in front of the German tourists who were at Hotel ADRIATIK, in the city of Durres.

They put us in a truck and take us to the hotel.
There we formed a half-century

and under the direction of the choir professor, we began to sing the Hunter's Song.
At first we were a little shy, but Professor Tonini was not only a composer but also a very good psychologist❗️🤣
He started making faces and we continued the song laughing.
After the concert, I got a lot of applause from the German or Austrian tourists, I don't know.
But what I remember was that they were very nice to us and took us dancing.
I danced with a tall man who laughed kindly, I laughed even though I didn't understand the language❗️
But it is known that there is a "world language of communication" which can be violence, cruelty or love, kindness.

Your comment touched me a lot, I wish you all the best❗️🙏🌹

Refren: Ni-i viaţa voioasă, plăcerea-i divină
Cântarea răsună şi vinu-i mai bun.

Mai liber te simţi, mai voinic, mai voios
Izbânda, cînd cornul sunând ne dă veste,
Ecouri trezite răspund zgomotos...

When I was 9 back in 1992 I came third in a recorder competition for playing this tune. Always loved this piece, it is so powerful.

I’m an intermediate violinist, and this is my favourite song from my lesson books. When I first heard my instructor play it, I was like”HELL NO, I’L NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS.” Now I can, even if it’s a bit rough.

I learned this music as a 7th grader, in 1963. My country was quite poor then and radio was a luxury. The only music instrument my schools had were small organs carried by two on-duty students to the classrooms. Yet our music textbooks compiled by our national committee included the best melodies in the world such as this one, operas, symphonies, German Lieder, etc. I could not afford a concert ticket until I started working as a computer programmer. Yet my whole life has been enriched by my music education.
