Why does the rain fall from the sky?
How can a sugar pill take this pain away?
I should have known that you would break my heart
You've ended something that didn't have a chance to start

Put out the stars
Rub out the sky
Look to the future
Wipe the teardrop from my eye
Shut off the sun
Put out the light
Want you to tell me how you're gonna make it right

Why am I crying over you?
Why?
'Cause there*s nothing else that I can do
Why do I always look a fool?
Why?

Wish I'd read the signs and left you well alone
God, I want to call you but I can't pick up the phone

Put out the stars
Rub out the sky
Look to the future
Wipe the teardrop from my eye
Shut out the sun
Bring on the night
Want you to show me how you're gonna make it right

Why am I cryin' over you?
Why?
'Cause there's nothing else that I can do
Why do I always look a fool?
Why?
Why am I crying over you?
(Tell me why. Why does the rain fall from the sky?)
Why?
'Cause there's nothing else that I can do
(Why do the tears fall from my eyes?)
Why do I always look a fool?
(Why does the rain fall from the sky?)
Why?

(Oh tell me why)
(Tell me why)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Y Why" by C.N Blue are a contemplative reflection of a heartbroken individual who is trying to come to terms with their failed relationship. The opening lines, "Why does the rain fall from the sky? How can a sugar pill take this pain away?", express the character's confusion and hopelessness at the situation. The lyrics continue, "I should have known that you would break my heart, You've ended something that didn't have a chance to start," emphasizing the feelings of regret and self-blame that are common after a breakup.

As the song progresses, the character begins to look towards the future, and sings, "Put out the stars, Rub out the sky, Look to the future, Wipe the teardrop from my eye." The use of imagery in these lyrics, such as "put out the stars" and "rub out the sky," creates a sense of a cold and isolated world where the singer is trying to rebuild their life. The catchy chorus, "Why am I crying over you? Why? 'Cause there's nothing else that I can do. Why do I always look a fool? Why?" is a reflection of the common feelings of self-doubt and humiliation that often accompany a broken heart.

Overall, "Y Why" is a poignant and relatable portrayal of the emotional struggles that come with a breakup. The lyrics are enhanced by the band's emotive instrumentation and the singer's passionate vocal performance.

Wow, this song with the orchestra, I just couldn't recognize it at first and sound a bit weird at the beginning as Yonghwa start singing but it get better and better all along. A real good version of Y, Why.

All versions sound awesome in their own way and all bring me to tears. I love the idea with the orchestra and I got goosebumps at 2:55.
