Great explanation. Just one doubt, how to decide by how much should you crash the activity ? In the video above, you get crash limit value for an activity as 3, so why have you reduced the duration of that activity by 1 week ?

Thank you mam, had a doubt mam 1st iteration you have crashed 2 weeks one i.e 1 week from cp1 and 1 week from cp2, so as result indirect cost would be reduced for 2 weeks na, why did you reduce it for one week only

How do we know how many weeks/days to crash with this method? I was working out a sum with days instead of weeks and found that even after the 6th iteration the total cost reduced. How do we solve sums in time for exams with this method?

Madam, I follow many of your classes a lot of times, So I have no dare to argue with you, but with due respect I would like to raise an issue this time in this problem.

Madam, this problem is not an exhaustive one, it is very simple one, every time critical paths come in same two paths, so many things got missed, like what if same two activities lie in 2 different paths?

And if we follow your procedure, this way every time cost is reducing, but with Crashing of project we do not care about cost increment, it is obvious that if we crash the duration, as a result crash cost or direct cost will increase for the specific reduced time/days/weeks and indirect cost will decrease in the same way. But in this problem costs were reducing every time, and at a point when cost started increasing you stopped the process, whereas we are not supposed to care about cost increment

well i have followed the previous questions on this channel and i was fine with it but this one is done in acomplete wrong way .. first of all we dont have shortcuts to find the CP . for finding cp we need to calculate the first way like writing the normal time as duration then make boxes find LOT EOT then get the CP then look for lowest value and then make the network until you have crashed all the activites . so for this you need to correct the errors here please do not blindly follow this particular video its a shortcut one which wont fetch you marks in exam thank you

I solved a problem using this method ma'am. But I'm getting a difference of 200 from the text book answer. And I've rechecked it several times.
In the text book they have used a different method.
