Originally from Dandenong, Victoria, the band formed in 1991 and performed local gigs for several years before being signed to Sony in 1994. Their debut album was Glide With Me, from which the first two singles Hook Me Up and Hey Girl were moderately successful. It was the third single, however, which launched them into the mainstream. A cover of Let's Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire, it reached number 2 on the Australian singles chart in 1995, and was the highest selling single of the year, selling over 70,000 copies. Glide With Me went on to generate 4 singles in total and went platinum.
A second album, Lifted, was released in 1997 with the lead single Let It Whip. Jude Nicholas joined the group for this release, replacing Andrew De Silva. The album featured a more pop-oriented sound, and was only moderately successful.
After the album, the band decided to break up and concentrate on solo efforts. Gary Pinto released a single and album, however these were unsuccessful. He has worked on backing vocals for several series of Australian Idol and has worked extensively with Guy Sebastian. Gary co-wrote the theme for World Youth Day 2008 - Receive The Power - with Guy, and penned Behold The Cross which features on the WYD08 Official Soundtrack.
Hook Me Up
CDB Lyrics

Girl you got me freaky thinking about the things you do
Oh girl I need you to understand
That I'm not your average man
Just a friend is not enough, hook me up with your love
Things are gonna work out right, hook me up with your love
A girl like you needs love care and tenderness
Girl you need loving you know it and
I'm not not your average man, oh girl
Girl you need loving you know it and
I'm not your average man believe me
I'm gonna love ya love ya love ya like no other
The lyrics to CDB's song 'Hook Me Up' articulate a man's desire to be more than just friends with the woman he is addressing. He wants to get to know her and spend some time with her, and the idea of her makes him feel excited and sexual. However, he also wants her to understand that he is not like other men, and therefore needs more from her than just platonic friendship. The singer then goes on to say that he is aware that most romantic relationships don't last long, but he is confident that he has something real and special to offer her.
