Where we never should of, never should of
I found home in your space
But we never stood a, never stood a chance
Cause I was too broken
And you were the same
Our love was hopeless
We fall in love
Then we break it off
But we miss each other too much
So we try to fix it but its never meant for us, no
I don't wanna love just to never talk again
I don't wanna love if it means it has to end
Why can't we just do it right
I just wanna love you right
I don't wanna heal if it means you're gonna break me
I don't wanna stay if it means we'll never make it
Why can't we just do it right
Why can't I just love you right
Cause it's the right one
But the wrong time
And some things we just can't control
And when you realize
That we've capsized there ain't
Nothing for us to hold
Cause I was too broken
And you were the same
Our love was hopeless
But love is so strange
From lovers to strangers
I love you, I hate you
How did we end up like this
Our flaws overtake us
And trying is dangerous
We'll never know what we could've been
I don't wanna love just to never talk again
I don't wanna love if it means it has to end
Why can't we just do it right
I just wanna love you right
I don't wanna heal if it means you're gonna break me
I don't wanna stay if it means we'll never make it
Why can't we just do it right
We can't love each other right
The lyrics of "Talk" by CHO explore the complexities and struggles of a relationship that is filled with love but hindered by timing and personal issues. The song portrays a sense of longing and frustration as the singer reflects on the deep connection they found with their partner in a place where it seemed unlikely. They found solace and a sense of belonging in their partner's space, but deep down, they knew that their love was destined for failure from the start.
The lyrics highlight the personal struggles of the singer and their partner - both broken individuals seeking love but unable to fully give and receive it. Despite recognizing the hopelessness of their situation, they cannot help but fall in love with each other repeatedly, only to break up and miss each other intensely. The cycle continues as they attempt to fix the relationship, but it is never meant to be.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's reluctance to engage in a love that will ultimately lead to silence and distance. They question why they cannot find a way to make the love work, expressing a desire to love their partner right and do things differently. However, the realization that their love is right but the timing is wrong brings a sense of helplessness and a feeling that some things are beyond their control.
Overall, the lyrics convey a bittersweet emotional journey of two broken souls grappling with a love that is both profound and devastating. It showcases the complexities of relationships and the challenges they can face when personal issues, timing, and circumstances come into play.
