CLMD started as a duo between Carl Louis and Martin Danielle (the name of the act being made of the initials of the two members). Carl and Martin first met at the age of 6, and during their high school years, they got introduced to house music and the art of DJing.

As of the summer 2014, Carl decided to leave CLMD to focus on his solo career. Early 2015 brings CLMD (now branded as "Create Love Music & Dreams") back as a revitalized solo endeavor. The single ‘Keep Dreaming’ marks a new beginning in Danielle's musical career.
