The lyrics to CODE-V's song "Song for you" convey a message of acceptance and embracing whatever life brings. The chorus repeats the phrase "Let it be what it may," emphasizing the concept of accepting things as they are and not trying to change them. The line "The way may not change" recognizes that sometimes circumstances may not be altered, but it's important to find acceptance within those circumstances. The lyrics suggest that seeking comfort from external sources like doctors may not always provide the answers we are looking for, and true wisdom and guidance can come from unexpected places, even from janitors.
The verse "God, help me to do, what you can't do, for me" reflects a plea for personal growth and taking responsibility for one's own actions. The solo section creates a musical interlude that allows for further contemplation of these themes. The bridge highlights the idea that change is the only constant in life and is something we have all experienced. The mention of words that can still be heard bringing fire to tears suggests the power of someone's words or memories to evoke strong emotions. The ending chorus reinforces the message of accepting whatever may come and finding acceptance within it.
