I breathe but don't sink
I can't undo what I've done
Let sleep drug me
Oh please, oh please, oh...
Take me home
To lounge around
Oh, whoa, oh...
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this face
(I'm not afraid)
Help me, I'm weak
I dove too deep
I can't recall what I've done
But I'll never speak
Don't tell, don't tell, don't...
Take me home
To lounge around
Take me home
Oh, whoa, oh...
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this place
(I'm not afraid of you)
I don't like I don't like this face
(I'm not afraid)
The lyrics to Cake Like's "Don't Tell" evoke a sense of desperation and fear of consequences. The singer is asking for help to forget what they have done, as they struggle with their memories and the weight of their actions. They beg for sleep to "drug" them and take them away from reality. The repetition of "don't tell" reinforces this fear of being exposed and the need to keep secrets. The singer is weakened by their actions, feeling like they have gone too far, but they refuse to speak about it. The repetition of the line "I don't like this place/face" could indicate that the singer is haunted by their actions and cannot deal with being in the same environment or seeing the same people.
Despite the fear and desperation in the lyrics, there is also a sense of longing for safety and comfort. The repeated refrain of "Take me home" suggests a desire for safety and familiarity, a place where the singer can escape from their troubles and "lounge around." It's possible that the singer is asking for someone to take them away from their current situation and provide them with a sense of security.
In summary, "Don't Tell" is a song about the struggle to deal with the aftermath of one's actions and the fear of being exposed. The singer is desperate for help and comfort, but also afraid of the consequences of their actions.

That Tres Leches cake is a favourite amongs my family members.
This is such a fun video. Please consider to make more of this types of videos. I am a beginner in the kitchen, so this helps me so much. I learn a lot of things' in the kitchen.
To me the kitchen is like exploring the universe, a lot of fun and learning.
I made many mistakes so far, and some of those mistakes could have really been prevented, some were quiet expensive mistakes.
I made a 2 tier cake once, the biggest mistake was not to cut off the dome. It did not collapse at all. I learnt three major things with that 2 tier cake. All's well that ends well.
Thanks a lot bunch for the entertainment videos you make. It means very much to me.

When my daughter was 13 she made a cake from scratch and called me and said it didn't rise. I asked her if she put baking soda in, she said no. The recipe called for soda, so she put in a teaspoon of cola. She is now 44 and we still laugh about this.

@Sophi All Things Xena the “trick” for perfect pancakes is similar to a cake. don’t over mix, preheat your griddle(if using a skillet: make 1 big pancake at a time. I use Pamela’s gluten free mix, premix my egg, swap in some buttermilk and fold in a little extra melted butter from seasoning the skillet. I get perfect fluffy pancakes every time (kid’s favorite breakfast).
