1. Camp… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least four groups and one musician called Camp.
1. Camp is a Swedish disco/house group that released the single 'Who Loves You?' in 2006.
2. Camp are three Zurich boys to keep an eye on in the future. Referring to themselves as 'smalltown neurotics,' their motivation for making music is summed up by Woody Allenโs one-liner: 'Failing in life can be dangerous; failing in art is simply embarrassing.' Within one year, Camp release 'Talking Cure,' the follow-up to their debut album. The band prove that there is more to them than writing straight dance floor hits. The three rock musicians, every one of them knowledgeable about the more modern history of pop music, have found a multi-layered sonic language, the speed, style, beauty, and mood swings of which never fail to surprise and move the listener. On stage, the main purpose of Campโs melting of traditional rock instrumentation and electronics is still to make girls dance.
3. David Turgeon is an obfuscation composer, strategist of sonic vagueness, and sometimes even a performer (Camp, Ensemble Camp, Asyncdrone, Period Three, Lโรle de bรฉtonโฆ), David Turgeon is also founder and director of the No Type label. He is also known as a graphic designer, DJ, inventor of arcane programming languages and the author of two graphic novels.
4. Camp was a grindcore band from the Netherlands mainly influenced by bands such as Terrorizer and Brutal Truth. In 2001, they released their first 7" split with Intumescence. In 2003, a second 7" was recorded, but it was never released due to a split-up in 2004.
5. camp was a three-member Japanese country band.

And that you should never ask why
Cause it only makes it harder to fit in
And you should be happy, excited
Even if you're just invited
Cause the winners need someone to clap for them
It's so hard just waiting
It's time you started making
Your own rules
You gotta scream until there's nothing left
With your last breath
Say here I am
Here I am
Make em listen
Cause there is no way you'll be ignored
Not anymore
Say here I am
Here I am
Here I am
Here I am
You only get one life to work it
So who cares if it's not perfect
Say "it's close enough to perfect for me"
Why should you hide from the thunder
And the lightening that your under
Cause there ain't nobody else you want to be
If how your living isn't working
There's one thing that'll help
You got to finally just stop searching
To find yourself
You gotta scream until there's nothing left
With your last breath
Say here I am
Here I am
Make em listen
Cause there is no way you'll be ignored
Not anymore
Say here I am
Here I am
Here I am
The world better make some room
Yea move over, over
Cause your coming through
Cause your coming through
You gotta scream until there's nothing left
With your last breath
Say here I am
Here I am
Make em listen
Cause there is no way you'll be ignored
Not anymore
Say here I am
Here I am
Here I am
Here I am
Here I am
In the song "Here I Stand," by Camp, the lyrics describe the pressure of society to conform and fit in, specifically for women. The first verse suggests that society wants women to be quiet and not ask questions, even if it makes fitting in more difficult. Women are expected to be supportive, happy, and excited for others without any regard for their own feelings or desires. The chorus of the song is the anthem of the piece that empowers women to scream and make themselves heard, to not let society ignore them any longer. The second verse talks about accepting oneself, flaws and all, instead of striving for perfection. It encourages women to face their fears and not let the judgment of others hold them back. The bridge of the song emphasizes that the world needs to make room for these empowered women who will no longer be silenced.
Overall, the song's message is one of empowerment, encouragement, and self-acceptance. The lyrics focus on the idea of not conforming to societal standards but rather being true to oneself and not allowing others to ignore or belittle one's voice. The song inspires women to recognize their worth and value, reject expectations of perfection, and celebrate their unique selves.

Here in the Dark
I stand before you
Knowing this is my chance to show you my heart
This is the start, this is the start.
I have so much to say and I'm hoping
That your Arms are open
Don't turn away, won't you hear me?
But you have to hear me.
Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
Love me, but don't tell me who I have to be
Here's who I am,
I'm what you see.
You said I had to change and I was trying
But my heart was lying
I'm not a child any longer
I am stronger
Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
Help me, to move on but please don't tell me how
I'm on my way, I'm moving out
In this life we've come so far
but we're only who we are (who we are)
Courage of love (Courage of Love)
show us the way (Show us the way)
Unlock the power
To stand up and say (Stand upppp)
(Up and say!)
Here's where I stand
Here's who I am
(Stand Up) I'll be counting, counting on you
If you're with me, we'll make it through
Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
Love me, Love me, Love me, and we'll make it through
Here's where I stand,
Baby, Baby, Baby, I'm counting on you
Here's where I stand
Love me, Love me, Love me, and we'll make it through
I'm counting, Oooh,
I'm counting,
I'm counting, I'm counting on....
You
(Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
I'm counting on you)
(Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
We'll make it through)
(Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
I'm counting on you)
(Here's where I stand,
Here's who I am
We'll make it through)
