The track was recorded in Nashville with producer Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Dylan Scott, Kellie Pickler) and is quoted “a smash hit the second I heard it” from Music Row reporter, Greg Almond.
Early in 2017, Cox released a music video for his track, “Just Me” which will be on his self-titled EP this October. “Just Me” was featured on various country music platforms paved the way for his music video for "Lie" which released late August. Cox is leaving his mark on the charts with "Lie" rapidly climbing into the top 80's within his first month.
In addition to touring around the south east, the NC native was most recently performing with Carnival Cruise Lines but “happy to be on land for a while”. Stay tuned for what’s next for this exciting up and comer, Canaan Cox.
