Her critically acclaimed performances are nothing short of spectacular. She runs the gamut from “howling siren” to the performer of ethereal confessional tales, disbanding all concepts of musical tags. It is no wonder she has shared stages with an array of diverse artists such as Annie Lennox, Billy Corgan, Maynard James Keenan, Ryan Adams, Elbow, The Gutter Twins, Snow Patrol, Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Mark Eitzel, and the legendary James Brown.
Growing up in Wolverhampton, England, Carina, starting from a very young age, always had an affinity towards music and began to follow her musical dreams. Never losing sight of her goals, her determination and passion led to the recording of her first album The First Blood Mystery (2001). Shaped in the erratic but gripping sounds, her love of legends Patti Smith and Jeff Buckley resonates undeniably.
The follow-up and Interscope re-released debut album: The Disconnection (2004) took those influences into much more powerful and personal realms. It landed Carina worldwide exposure in the process, which ultimately brought her career to Los Angeles, California. The relocation proved worthwhile. For Slow Motion Addict (2007), Carina teamed up with notable producer Glen Ballard to create a bewitching and seductive new album. Accompanying the release was a 12-part episodic series that cleverly coincided with each track, creating a visual story for the album. It gave Carina another medium to showcase her artistic ability by acting and starring as the troubled lead character, Maisie Scarlett.
Two years later, Carina self-released the EP Things You Should Know in 2009 that resulted in more critical success, having multiple film & TV shows feature her music as well as multiple radio stations, including KCRW, champion her music. Opportunities came flooding in to work with other artists Carina has admired over the years.
Since 2009 she is also a member of the band Puscifer, the Solo-Project of Tool- and A Perfect Circle-Vocalist Maynard James Keenan, contributing the female and 2nd voice in live shows and on albums of the band. She also sang vocals on The Twilight Singers new album ‘Dynamite Steps’ along with other artists Nick McCabe (The Verve), Mark Lanegan, and Ani DiFranco, among others. In addition to this, Carina moved into the world of composing and writing for film, working with the award winning film composers John Debney and Glen Ballard on a song that was composed for the film Valentine’s Day, writing with Academy Award winner Marco Beltrami, as well as various others.
In one of Carina’s co-writing sessions for film & TV, a band was created called Early Winters with EMI Canadian artist Justin Rutledge, L.A. producer/musician Dan Burns and multi-instrumentalist Zac Rae. The band is an indie rock band with touches of country and folk flare, which draw comparisons to Neko Case and the Swell Season.
All of these projects were an inspirational stepping stone for Carina to completing her newest album Tigermending which was released May 1st 2012 through her label Dehisce. On the new track ‘Got To Go (The L.A Song) features Smashing Pumpkins’ front man Billy Corgan playing guitar and she co-wrote the haunting track ‘The Secret of Drowning’ with the legendary Dave Stewart and Brian Eno.
Comparisons are frequently drawn to PJ Harvey, though Round would contend that she is more directly influenced by Patti Smith.

Come Undone
Carina Round Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've been waiting for you
Signed, with a home tattoo
Happy birthday to you was created for you
(Can not forgive from falling apart at the seams
Can not believe you're taking my heart to pieces)
Might take a little crime
To come undone now
We'll try to stay blind
To the hope and fear outside
Hey child, stay wilder than the wind
And blow me into cry
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
Words, playing me deja vu
Like a radio tune I swear I've heard before
Chill, is it something real
Or the magic I'm feeding off your fingers?
(Can not forgive from falling apart at the seams
Can not believe you're taking my heart to pieces)
Lost, in a snow filled sky
We'll make it alright
To come undone now
(Can not forgive from falling apart)
Who do you need, who do you love
When you come undone?
(Can not forgive from falling apart)
Who do you need, who do you love?
(Can not forgive from falling apart)
Who do you love
When you come undone?
(Can not forgive from falling apart)
The lyrics to Carina Round's song "Come Undone" evoke a sense of vulnerability and raw emotion. The opening lines describe a perfect dream that has been made into a reality, waiting for someone special to arrive. It seems like someone has found their soulmate and is expressing their true feelings to them. However, the lines "Can not forgive from falling apart at the seams, can not believe you're taking my heart to pieces" suggest that there is a sense of fear and uncertainty in the relationship. It appears that the person is worried about being hurt and is struggling to trust their partner.
The chorus of the song is a plea for the relationship to work. It suggests that it may take a bit of time and even some wrongdoing ("Might take a little crime") for them to come undone and let their true feelings out. The lines "We'll try to stay blind to the hope and fear outside" convey the idea that the couple is trying to ignore outside influences and focus on their own love for each other. The final lines, "Who do you need, who do you love when you come undone?" are a poignant question about what truly matters when everything else falls apart.
