Now I'm looking for every excuse to go back on the weekend
I can still see the front-porch balcony every time I leave
Grandpa waving back at me
Wish I could've told myself back then
It won't always be like this
It won't always be like this
But sometimes I still forget
It won't always be like this
I remember hearing the door slam
Twenty-two, didn't have a clue who I was
Who I could trust, and who were my real friends
I had big wings but didn't have a sky
Just a front-row view of everybody flying high
Waiting for my time, wish I could've told myself back then
It won't always be like this
It won't always be like this
No, the heart won't ache forever
No matter how hard it gets
It won't always be like this, no
Looking at you looking back at me
All I wanna do is make another memory
And love you like it's the end
'Cause it won't always be like this
It won't always be like this
No, it won't always be like this
I know it won't always be like this
I wish love would last forever
So I could live it all again
It won't always be like this
It won't always be like this
The song "It Won't Always Be Like This" by Carly Pearce is a poignant reflection on the fleeting nature of time and the importance of cherishing memories. In the first verse, Pearce reflects on her younger self's eagerness to leave her hometown, only to find herself craving its familiarity as she grows older. She longs to go back and tell her past self that things won't always be the same, that nothing lasts forever, and to savor every moment.
In the second verse, Pearce reflects on her early 20s and the uncertainty she felt about her identity and relationships. She compares herself to others who seemed to have it all figured out, feeling like she was just waiting for her turn to soar. Again, she wishes she could go back and reassure herself that everything will change and that her time will come.
The chorus is a comforting reminder that even though life can be tough and painful, it won't always be that way. The heartache and struggles are temporary, and we should hold on to hope that things will get better. The final lines suggest a desire for love to last forever, so that she could relive those happy memories again and again.
Overall, "It Won't Always Be Like This" is a beautiful and relatable song about the fleeting nature of time and the importance of cherishing the present moment.

I remember how I couldn't wait to get out of my hometown
Now I'm looking forâ everyâ excuse to goâ back on the weekend
I can stillâ see the front porch balcony
Every time I leave, Grandpa waving back at me
Wish I coulda told myself back then
It won't always be like this
No siempre serĂĄ asĂ
It won't always be like this
No siempre serĂĄ asĂ
I know nothing lasts forever
SĂ© que nada dura para siempre
But sometimes, I still forget
Pero a veces, aĂșn olvido que
It won't always be like this
No serĂĄ siempre asĂ
I remember hearing the door slam, twenty-two, didn't have a clue
Who I was or who I could trust and who were my real friends
I had big wings, but didn't have a sky, just a front row view
Of everybody flying high, waiting for my time
Wish I coulda told myself back then
It won't always be like this
No siempre serĂĄ asĂ
It won't always be like this
No siempre serĂĄ asĂ
Know the heart won't ache forever
No matter how hard it gets
No importa lo duro que se vuelva
It won't always be like this, no
No serĂĄ siempre asĂ, no
Looking at you, looking back at me
MirĂĄndote, rememorĂĄndome a mĂ
All I wanna do is make another memory
And love you like it's the end
Y amarte como si fuera el final
'Cause it won't always be like this
Porque no siempre serĂĄ asĂ
It won't always be like this
No serĂĄ siempre asĂ
No, it won't always be like this
No, no serĂĄ siempre asĂ
I know it won't always be like this
SĂ© que no serĂĄ siempre asĂ
I wish love would last forever
OjalĂĄ el amor durara para siempre
So I could live it all again
Para asĂ poder vivirlo todo otra vez
It won't always be like this
