Sin salida
Carmen Boza Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No sé si estoy aquí o allí,
No sé si estaba bien ayer,
No puedo despertarme
Porque no estoy dormida
No quiero acostumbrarme mal
A estar tan confundida
Tendré que acurrucarme
Y esperar en una esquina
A que, a que se haga de dia
Y ya no esté perdida
Ni esté tan dolorida para, para,
Quiero recurperarme
Reconciliarme con
Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme con la vida
Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme con la vida
Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme con la vida
Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme
Quiero recuperar mi vida
Recuperarme
Quiero recuperar mi vida
Reconciliarme con la vida

Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme con la vida
Quiero recuperarme, reconciliarme.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Carmen Boza's song Sin salida are a manifestation of utter confusion and desperation. The artist is unsure of her current state and past and seems to continually question their validity. She is stuck in a rut, imagining herself walking down a path that narrows until it becomes too small to continue on forward. As a result, she is forced to retreat all the way back, knowing that moving ahead may irritate the people around her. She is unable to see what lies ahead but has a feeling of despair.

The artist also recalls a sense of similarity when being almost asleep, where everything seems indistinguishable until she begins to have a nightmare. She feels powerless to awaken from her slumber and establish normality in her life. She realizes that she cannot adapt poorly to her muddled mindset and has to wait for clarity to begin reestablishing her life gradually. The song demonstrates disparities in life, and how Boza is willing to work to achieve balance and reconciliation in her life.
