Carrie ended up co-writing and singing Smith & Pledger's single, "Forever". A track that became a huge favourite for top DJ's like Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond and Matt Hardwick, and was featured on many of the world's leading dance compilations.
Carrie went on to work with Miami DJ/Producer Markus Schulz, Swedish DJ/Producer Mike Shiver and with Hungary's Shane 54. She made brief but significant appearances on a number of Anjunabeats releases, including Tranquility Base "Surrender" and Above & Beyond vs. Andy Moor "Air For Life".
"Time Goes By" was Carrie Skipper's first solo release, borne out of a late night jamming session involving Carrie and Above & Beyond. "Time Goes By" was remixed twice by Super8 (Miika Eloranta) who loved the song so much he begged to work on it. Super8's "Deep Mix" became a fixture in Tiesto's sets and his "Bangin' Mix" was played on BBC Radio One. David West also provided a fine remix that was a winner with many a prog trance fan, while Floris de Haan transformed "Time Goes By" into a superb top notch chill out masterpiece!
And now Armin van Buuren has done an approved mash up of "Time Goes By" with Mark Otten's "So Serene". Mark Otten vs Carrie Skipper "Time Is Serene" [Armin van Buuren Mash Up] is due for release on Armind.

Time Goes By
Carrie Skipper Lyrics

Now you've reached the end
The game seems so unkind
When this moment ends
You'll look back to see
The love you left behind
The closer the feeling
Familiar, the faces
Reflected in your eyes
I'm with you, I know you
If only in my head
I always remember
(I always remember)
No more holding on
To a fading memory
Of how things used to be
Life will carry on
Love will always be your guide
If you just set me free
The closer the feeling
The more you recognize
Familiar, the faces
Reflected in your eyes
I'm with you, I know you
If only in my head
I always remember
You looked and me and said
Time goes by
From the point of no return
You've gotta be strong enough to learn
Time goes by
The love you leave behind
Builds a temple in your mind
The lyrics to Carrie Skipper's song Time Goes By are about the memories that people carry with them even after a certain state in their life has ended. The song talks about how people often reminisce about the love they left behind when they move on to a new phase in their life. The lyrics also suggest that as one grows older, they realize that the closer they feel to someone, the more they recognize familiar faces in them. The singer hints that while she might not be with her loved one anymore, she still thinks about them all the time and remembers the moment when her loved one said, "time goes by."
The song also discusses how it can be tough to let go of a memory and move on with life. The singer encourages listeners to be strong enough to learn to let go and accept that life will continue, and love will always be there to guide us. The lyrics suggest that the memories of past love remain forever in the mind of the person experiencing it, building a temple as a reminder of the love that was once experienced.
In conclusion, the song Time Goes by by Carrie Skipper is a reflective ballad about memories of love, their importance, and how they stay with people long after the love has faded away. It talks about the need to learn to let go and move on from memories while also acknowledging that the memories of past relationships play a role in shaping an individual's personality and views towards love.
