Thank you Carrie and the song writers for a beautiful song, I danced this song with my mom for the mother daughter dance at my wedding in April. My mom is in her 70s and has advance dementia and survived not getting Covid during the pandemic. It was such a special moment, it meant so much to share with her and I’ll always cherish it. Many of my wedding guests told me they had tears during our dance. This song was so heartfelt and was so personal for the relationship her and I have. I was searching for a special song for our dance and when I came across this song, it brought tears to my eyes. A beautiful endearing song. Thank you for singing it in your amazing voice. @@riptide13 That is a complicated question. It has been 2 and a half years now. The pain of losing her and missing is still there and still strong but it has become bearable. It has taken a lot of adjusting and grieving to get here but I have accepted my new normal. When I first lost her I felt guilty for even the smallest laugh knowing she wasn't here to share it. I have been able to enjoy my senior year without feeling guilty anymore. They sadness still hits me like a truck every so often when there are big moments she is missing but I have gotten through them and have my future ahead of me and I try every day to make her proud. I am so sorry about your mother. Remember as much as you think have to put all of yourself into her, you have to take care of your self too. Stay strong. Im here to talk if you need it.❤❤❤

We lost both our moms a year apart. I lost mine before his in her sleep and he never met her. We found each other 3 weeks after she passed....His mom then passed a year later whom I met to cancer. I promised her that I’d always take care of him. What he doesn’t know is that when we get married next year I plan on playing this song in honor of our moms. I love this song so much!! This song reminds me of my mama!! She used to sing it. She passed away in 2013 from cancer when I was just 13 and I'm turning 18 next month in july!! When I listen to this song I still feel like I can hear her sing it!! I miss her so much!!! But I know she's looking down on me from Heaven with a big smile on her face!! I thank God every day for taking her pain and suffering away so that she be in peace!!

I have a similar story. My mom died in 2016 right before I turned 16. My momma taught me a lot, but she didn't teach me how to live without her. She had heart problems and she didn't make it out of recovery.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious mother, especially at such a young and crucial age where us girls need our Momma's the most! I lost my Gram to cancer and my husband lost his mother to brain cancer in Jan of 2015, I just hate cancer it takes so many people and its not fair! I'm so glad at such a young age you can look at it in a positive way though, that's amazing and I hope you keep that peace knowing she's in a much better place with our Father ❤ God bless you honey, best of luck on your journey.
