Change your mind
Change your mind
End your life
End your life

You'll understand,
I'm looking out for you
And all i want to understand
Is you

In the driveway,
How long will you go away?

In the driveway,
How long will you go away?

End your life
End your life

End your life
End your life

You'll understand,
I'm looking out for you

And all i want to understand
Is you

In the driveway,
How long will you go away?

In the driveway,
How long will you go away??

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Castlebeat's song "Change Your Mind" are open to interpretation, but one possible reading of the song is that it is about the struggle to understand and help someone who is going through a difficult time. The repeated lines of "change your mind" and "end your life" could be seen as the singer urging the person to reconsider their actions and not give up on life. The line "you'll understand, I'm looking out for you" suggests that the singer is trying to offer support and care for the person, but is met with resistance or difficulty in connecting with them.

The lines "in the driveway, how long will you go away" could suggest that the person is physically leaving or distancing themselves from the singer, adding to the sense of frustration and helplessness in the situation. However, the repeated lyrics of the song also create a sense of hopefulness or determination, as if the singer is determined to keep trying to understand and help the person even in the face of challenges.

Overall, "Change Your Mind" is a poignant and introspective song about the complexities of human connection and the challenges of supporting someone who is struggling.

For those that were wondering where the footage came from, its Nobuhiko Obayashi's 1966 short film Emotion!

That's the year I was born, I grew up in the 70s in TX, US Army in Germany in mid 80s, NoVA college and DC/Adams Morgan going into 90s, moved to Cali mid-90s... The retro stuff... It's true. All of it. :) PS: I love Japanese 60s/70s cinema too!
