1. Catfish, a project put together by Australian songwriter Don Walker after the demise of Cold Chisel.
Don Walker was born in Ayr, North Queensland, in 1951. As a member of and main songwriter for Cold Chisel between 1973 and 1983 he wrote “Saturday Night”, “Cheap Wine”, “Standing on the Outside”, “Choirgirl”, “Khe Sanh” along with many others, and co-wrote “Flame Trees”.
In 1989, after a break from music and time spent travelling, he released Unlimited Address, a set of songs under the band name Catfish, recorded with producer/guitar player Peter Walker and harmonica player David Blight. As a touring band Catfish also included guitar player Charlie Owen.
In 1991 the second Catfish album, Ruby, was released, recorded with James Brown’s rhythm section of drummer Tony Cook and guitar player Ron Laster. The songs were more Australian in content. Slim Dusty had a hit with his version of “Charleville”, which he then invited Don to re-record as a duet.
2. A blues-rock band from the 70's. With the following lineup (on the album "Catfish - Live"):
Bob Hodge - Vocals
Dallas Hodge - Guitar
Dennis Cranner - Bass
Jim Demers - Drums
Harry Phillips - Keyboards
3. A Belgian blues-country'n'roll-band, in existence since the 90's. Lineup: Frey Sturtewagen (vocals, rythm guitar), Willy Devleeschouwer (lead guitar) &

And of all the lifts home and all the mixed feelings
You're cuts above
And you don't own worries or a chest full of heartache
And Yes, I know
That I'll never work out exactly how you're thinking
But, Let me know when i'm needed home
You can leather me with your lips
I've gotta give it to you
You give me problems
When you are not in the mood
I've gotta give it to you
You give me problems
And made me give in to you
Our dealer hates me you know
Cause he used to see her but she sold
Him off on down the river
It's impractical
To go out and catch a death with a dress fit for the summer
So you don't
Instead you call me up with a head full of filth
And yes, I know
That I'll never acquiesce anything you're thinking
But, Let me know when i'm needed home
And I'll come
You can leather me with your lips
I've gotta give it to you
You give me problems
When you are not in the mood
I've gotta give it to you
You give me problems
And made me give in to you
Our dealer hates me you know
Cause he used to see her but she sold
Him off on down the river
The lyrics of the song “Kathleen” by Catfish and the Bottlemen are highly poetic and provide an insight into the complicated relationship between two people. The song begins by praising Kathleen for her intelligence and superiority over others. Despite Kathleen being different from the other people, she “cuts above” and doesn't have any worries or heartache. The lyrics are highly introspective, and the singer knows that he will never be able to understand Kathleen’s thought process. Nevertheless, he tells her to let him know when she needs him, and he will come to her without hesitation.
The chorus of the song is highly emotional and the juxtaposition of Kathleen’s negative behavior with the singer’s undying love moves the listener. The singer acknowledges that Kathleen often gives him problems, but he still loves her in spite of everything. The song also includes references to drug use, with the singer mentioning how their dealer hates him because Kathleen sold him out.
Overall, the lyrics of the song Kathleen by Catfish and the Bottlemen are highly emotional and poetic, providing an insight into the complicated relationship between two people that is based on love, heartache and drug use.
