While attending high school, Catherine Tuttle began to play the coffeehouse circuit around Philadelphia, accompanying herself on piano. As club bookers and audiences realized the extent of her talent, she began playing some of the best venues in the area, opening or sharing the bill with such artists as Phil Roy, Jeffrey Gaines, Grey Eye Glances and Amos Lee. Meanwhile, she also began to get some airplay on local Triple A radio station WXPN where she was twice chosen as Philly local pick.
What those early audiences discovered was a very talented young woman with a level of maturity and selfassuredness well beyond her years. Music is in Catherine's French-Canadian bloodline: her parents were in several bands for more than a decade, and Catherine's music bears traces of her family's musical influences, including the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins and especially Joni Mitchell.
After posting some of her music on the Internet, Catherine was discovered by legendary jazz producer Alan Bates of UK-based Candid Records, who also discovered Jamie Cullum. He invited Catherine and her family to London and from there he promptly signed her to a multi-album deal. What They Will Find is
Catherine has played every major venue in Philadelphia, the renowned Bitter End in New York, and is performing regularly in Boston. She has appeared at the Cobden Club and Kettner's in London.
